💫🐾Fundraising 🐾💫

We are planning some events in the near future to raise money for the fur babies!! I would like to get an idea on who all can help!! If you can fill one of these spots please let me know!! Date and time are pending but will hopefully have all that worked out soon!!

🐈‍⬛Five folks that can donate prepackaged baked goods to be sold at a bake sale.

🐈Five folks that can donate canned or bottled drinks to be sold at the bake sale.

🐾One very organized person to be in charge of 10 donation jars to be placed in businesses around Fulton.

🐱A few folks with flexible schedules that can help with set up and take down the day of event. This will more that likely be on a Saturday morning.

💢Also if you have a business and would like to do a fundraiser such as pampered chef, Tupperware, tastefully simple, etc please let me know!! This is a great way to grow your business and give back!!

As always we are open to any and all fundraising ideas!!

💫💫Amazing News!!💫💫

Mrs. Darcy Linn has worked her magic and found a rescue in Louisville KY and one in Knoxville TN willing to take a bunch of "friendly' cats and kittens!! This is absolutely amazing because cats and kittens are typically hard to impossible to place with a rescue. Think of all the babies that will finally have an opportunity to find thier forever homes!! The rescues do have a few requirements. The cats and kittens need to be fixed, healthy and up to date on shots. So let's talk numbers..

Currently thier are approximately 35 in house at the pound, 18 feral in a local colony and 10 in foster care that have placement if they get the required vetting!! That's 63 cats!!! Not to mention the countless calls received daily for additional cats needing help!!

Here is the estimated cost of vetting. Spay is $45, neuter is $40, vaccines around $18, rabies around $9.

🐾Volunteer!! You can volunteer by driving these babies to the vet or thier freedom ride. How about fostering until they can get the needed vetting. This really helps with the "friendly" requirement. Volunteer to help with fundraising!!

I can not stress how amazing this opportunity is for our small community!! I spoke to Mrs Darcy today and she said in the past 5 years, with the community's help, has been able to save and fix around 1000 cats!! 🤯 How great is that !! Especially considering this is all done by volunteers and donations!!

Guess what!?!?

In a 6 month period 200 cats have been spayed/neutered!!

1 cat can produce 12 offspring a year..200 can produce 2400...look at those numbers!! All I can say is WOW!! This was made possible by each and everyone of you!!

And a big BIG to Mrs Darcy for all her road trips back and forth getting these babies to the vet!!

I can't wait to see what can be done in 2022!!

Everyone meet stormy. Not sure if stormy is a boy or girl yet. I got a call that "she/he" was hiding under a bush crying. When I got there to get the little thing, it was not able to use both back legs. Not sure if it is an injury or was born that was. For now little stormy is safe and in a warm dry house. She/he is extremely scared and I had to break out the bit gloves...but we will love it and hopefully it will calm down enough for me to check the back end out.

Stormy will need vetting asap. If you would like to help with the cost please let me know.

Everyone meet Jaxs, Jasmine and Juniper. They were found in a box on the side of the road by a good Samaritan. These sweet babies are COVERED in fleas and extremely skinny. They are receiving some much need TLC and will be available for adoption once they are feeling much better!!

Guess what guys!?!?!

Yesterday Mrs Darcy took 9 more cats!! That makes 99 cats that have been spay or neutered since June 23rd! WOW!! This could not have been possible with out each and everyone of you!!

On Oct 5th we have an appointment for 10 more babies to be fixed. As a thank you to our supporters we would like to offer you the opportunity to have your cat fixed at our discounted rate!! This is the info..

💥💥Urgent Help Needed💥💥

Meet Miss Loki

This Semi Feral momma has found herself in quite the predicament. April of 2021 she was roaming the streets extremely skinny and pregnant. A good samaritan started feeding her just in time for her to put on a little weight before delivering 4 beautiful bouncing baby boys. When her babies were only a few weeks old she took in a stray orphan kitten all one her own. So now she was raising 5 fuzzy boys. The good samaritan continued feeding her and the babies trying to earn her trust. It wasn't long before Miss Loki found herself pregnant again. She delivered 3 beautiful fuzzy babies and one still born. The good samaritan reach out to me for help. Her good deed in feeding a stray cat had now turned into 9 cats. So this is our goal

First we need to get momma fixed ASAP. The good samaritan was able to get her indoors and away from any males. The spay for her is $40.

The 5 older kittens are now here at my house. They all need to be neutered. $35 each x 5 ($175)

The 3 younger kittens will need to be fixed in a month or so. S*x undetermined at the moment.

Another group of sweet babies headed out bright and early to be spay/neutered!! I wanted to take this time to up on our progress!! All the cats at the pound WHO ARE BIG ENOUGH have been spayed or neutered!! How amazing is that!! With that being said there are still lots that once they reach the 2lb mark will need to be spay/neutered. Of course there are the hundreds of feral cats that roam the streets of Fulton that will need to be trapped and released. If you personally have a cat that you would like to be spay/neutered at a discounted rate please let us know and we can put you on the list. Males are $35 and females are $40. They would need to be dropped off the morning of transport along with payment. Pick up would he same day after 4pm

Constant Online Auctions is still collected items for and up coming fundraisers auction. The money raised from this will not only help the 10x10 program but will help many animals that come through the pound with vetting, food, cleaning supplies....what ever is needed! I would like to welcome all our new followers. This page is a go to for all the fundraisers for the 10x10 project.

So what exactly is the 10x10 fundraiser??
This is our summer give back project. A group of local volunteers have come together to accept the challage to have 100 cats and kittens spay or neutered in the next 10 weeks. This is solely funded by donations. We are currently trying to spay, neuter and place the 70+ cats and kittens at our local Fulton KY pound. We must help this local pound before the unmentionable happens to this fur babies, Fulton KY pound at this time is a kill facility.

Once all the fur babies at the pound are taken care of then we can start with local colonies.

And this is why we are doing what we do!! 5 babies around 4 weeks old were abandoned by momma cat in a vacant house. 1 was found dead this morning, 1 was adopted out and I (Holly) have the other 3. I put them in a kennel with another 4 week old baby that was found at a local business here in Union City. My Inn is full...over full! But there was no way I could have slept well knowing they were out there alone!

Imagine you are an un-spayed, young female cat. Your Owners thought it was fun to let you outside and you came across a Tomcat (aka un-neutered male).

He knocks you up and your pregnant. Now, your lost and can't find your way home. So you scour for food for your belly and your un-born babies. You have your babies in a bush, under someone's deck, a shed - you name it.

You're a good Mama and take care of your babies but while looking for food you run into another un-neutered male and guess what? His horniness makes you stop nursing because BOOM a female cat goes into heat that fast! And you can guess it - you have more babies on the way.

Sad huh? What's sad is now those 1st litter of babies (probably about 3-4 weeks) are Orphans. They have no Mama to feed them and they are crying.

You hear those cries under a deck, your bushes or in your shed? Those are babies who are hungry. Hungry because someone never neutered or spayed their cats that they ALLOW to go outside.

Moral of this tidbit? SPAY/NEUTER your cats.

A female cat can have hundreds of babies in her lifetime. You got space for those unwanted kittens? Neither do those shelters.
You got the heart to withstand the cries of a hungry kitten? Neither can the Animal Rescuer who gets called daily "come help!"
Helping them is spaying/neutering your pets.

Just a bit of an update! We currently have the August calendar pledge and we still need a few days filled in. We have an appointment July 20th where we are taking 10 more fur babies to be spay or neutered. The cost of this is roughly $400 and we are at $259. We need an additional $141 to be able to complete this trip!

You can also sponsor at cat or kitten. We can send you a picture and keep you update after surgery. Males are $35 and females are $40

This bundle of cuteness is 2 kittens that were recently neutered with the donations from you wonderful folks. One is a hisser (feral) as Zoey calls him. The other is a cuddle bug. Both can now live their best life here on the farm and never have to be parents! We are determined to turn the hisser into a cuddle bug!!
