Early morning road trip to Fayette County Veterinary Clinic in La Grange, for the next step in the journey of finding forever homes for the newest two rescues! Summer and her partner, Sammy, were found stray in Ferris County and ended up at risk at the very small animal control there. Thanks to some amazing transporters, they made it to Texas Pitties & Paws, Inc and today, thanks to some amazing vets, they will get fully vetted and spayed/neutered! Donations for their medical bills would be GREATLY appreciated and can be made to http://paypal.me/TXPittiesPaws or you can Venmo to . Thank you all SO much! 💕🐾

Here are the newest residents of Texas Pitties & Paws, Inc! Ruby and her 4 puppies were dumped on a highway in Cleveland, TX with no food or water. Thankfully Zully Vasquez Ventura was able to pick them up, get them out of the heat and keep them safe!
Today, we drove to Porter, TX to get them, take them to the vet and bring them home. Huge shoutout to Fayette County Veterinary Clinic for being the awesome people they are and always doing their best to help with my rescues.
We could really use some help with their medical bills. Attached is the invoice from today for $340 and their spays will be about $150 each. We are hoping to raise about $1,100 to get them all taken care of and ready for their new homes! Any amount will be greatly appreciated!
There is Ruby, a 33 lb heeler mama and her 4 pups (all girls!) that are between 10-12lbs. They are about 8-10 weeks old. They got their first round of shots, wormed and received medicine for skin infections from being infested with fleas. They will all be healthy and ready for adoption in about 2 weeks! If anyone is interested, please let me know!!
You can PayPal here: paypal.me/TXPittiesPaws
Or Venmo to
Thank you all so much for your support!

If there is anyone interested in this beautiful girl, please let me know! I’m very limited on being able to pull dogs right now and need a potential adopter in order to save her. She is currently at risk where she is. 💕🐾

Coming soon!!! Check out this beautiful girl!! 3-4 months old. There are two others also that I could potentially pull if there is any interest in them. I’m working on getting photos of those. All 3 are currently at risk at a Texas animal control facility.

So very true unfortunately 😢

It’s the sad truth, and why we are all feeling that twinge of helplessness.

Dear General Public/pet owners. I'd like to share with you what is going on in the shelter/rescue world. Over the past several years everyone has been all about "no kill" shelters and rescues have worked endless hours, (many without pay or appreciation) shuffling dogs and cats out of shelters and into (hopefully) reputable rescues in search of homes for all the unwanted pets. All while the general public takes all this for granted and still being as irresponsible and putting forth no effort to HELP remain no kill. Fast forward to 2022, rescues are FULL, shelters are FULL, fosters are FULL, spay neuter appointments are hard to get and people are still allowing their pets to reproduce in record numbers. What does that mean for the animals? Shelters? Rescues? It means this........no kill will not be a common thing much longer.

When shelters fill and there is no where to go because rescues are full and people keep coming in claiming to find "pick a number" of dogs or cats "on the side of the road" as strays and walking away just assuming that the exhausted staff in the understaffed shelter will fix it, well they are wrong. Some things can't be "fixed" if YOU, the public doesn't start taking responsibility. YOU are the ones euthanizing innocent and unwanted pets. The shelter carries the burden and the heartache. That just isn't fair. If you can't take responsibility for a pet, DON'T GET ONE. If you can't spay and neuter, DON’T have a pet. Stop senseless breeding of dogs and cats.

Many shelters WILL lose their no kill status to no fault of their own, If you can't be responsible then consider a pet rock.

Educate yourself and those around you

Hello! We are finally up and running for fundraising! We have several ongoing projects right now....but irst and foremost, let's focus on Tyson. He has a couple expensive medical costs that we need assistance with. Specifically heartworm treatment and to be neutered. For anyone who is able, you can donate below through Donor Box, or you can send straight to TPAP's Venmo account . Please share! And thank you all SO much for your support! Texas Pitties and Paws relies entirely on donations to help cover the costs of our animals and with your donations, we are able to help so many more.

✨✨ADOPTED!✨✨

Here is dog #2!! This one is a little different from our usual bully breeds….This is Chloe, she is a Shih-tzu/Yorkie mix (Shorkie), about 2 years old, 8-10 lbs and dog/cat/kid friendly!! A little shy in the beginning, but she warms up fast and is SO sweet! She also came to us pregnant and had 7 beautiful puppies last night. Will feature them in our next post!!! They will all be ready for adoption in 8-10 weeks and we will also be running a fundraiser for them for shots and spays/neuters before they go to their forever homes!! 💕🐾

Texas Pitties & Paws has two new dogs that will be ready for adoption soon!!!

Here’s the first one — his name is TYSON!!! He was pulled from an euthanasia list from a South Texas animal control. He’s a 3 year old Bully/American Pit Bull mix, super sweet, dog friendly and such a uniquely marked gorgeous boy! He is Heartworm positive and we will be doing a fundraiser soon to help cover his treatment costs. Please stay tuned!! 💕🐾

So very true and the reason for our focus on the Pitties! Only 1 out of every 600 that are in shelters make it out alive. 😢 💕🐾
