Earl is a charming senior boy who stole hearts after being rescued from a high-intake shelter after being abandoned. This lovable gentleman thrives on companionship and adores being wherever his human is. His enthusiasm for life is contagious, especially when he gets to shower his humans with kisses. Earl is a social butterfly who enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive with a medium-energy, medium-sized buddy, but could also be perfectly content as the center of his family's attention. Earl is a little bit goofy and a little bit lazy old man. He’s got a playful spirit, but he also knows how to relax, happily napping in a pile of sneakers or enjoying a cozy spot on the couch. He’s housebroken, nondestructive, and loves to go for walks. While he’s got a big heart, Earl does have a strong prey drive, so he’ll need a home without small animals. He loves toys, soft beds, and prefers to have his meals with the entire family around. Earl would do best with a family member around most of the time, as he craves connection but can manage alone during the day, if necessary. When Ryder’s family could no longer offer him the attention or care he deserved due to some drastic changes, we were happy to step up and offer him a safe place to go. By keeping him out of the shelter system, Ryder’s transition to a new home will be less stressful, and it keeps him out of a kennel, leaving space for other needy dogs. Ryder has been a loved pet and part of a family his whole life. He loves meeting new people and other dogs. When we introduced him to our office cats he was gentle. He’s lived with children and loves the extra attention. Ryder is house trained, crate trained, well-mannered, and eager to please. His ideal family will have experience with herding dogs so he is set up for success. After he gets his exercise, Ryder loves to snuggle. He’s got the softest coat and loves to get pets. Dogs are amazing at helping us slow down and appreciate the little joys in life, aren't they? Marmalade loves her morning walks with her foster mom. Let's talk Turkey! This little man joined us recently from a commercial breeding kennel because of a “deformed leg” that made him unfit for sale.

Thanks to your gift contributions, we welcomed Turkey with open arms and sent him straight to our vet partner for evaluation. What we learned is that sadly, Turkey’s leg had been broken at some point and since he was not provided with veterinary care, it did not heal properly. Our vet recommended amputation to allow Turkey the best chance at a normal, pain-free puppy life. He had the surgery recently and is recovering well in his foster home.

Pumpkin is ready for a quiet movie night in! 🎥🍿

This little spaniel lady didn't have an easy life before coming to rescue from a commercial breeder. At only five years old, she's hearing- and vision-impaired. Understandably, that makes her nervous in new surroundings and with new people. She loves other dogs her size, though! Seeing her smile and prance around another dog would warm even the coldest of hearts. She'll take time to warm up to a new family but we have no doubt with a little patience she'll make a great best friend!

Good news! Little Bronco is back in his foster home after a scary few days in the ER and at our partner vet for complications from pneumonia. He's still getting nebulizer treatments which are helping to strengthen his lungs. His spirit is strong as a lion's and we can't wait for him to be at 100% health, ready to find his forever home. ❤️

When Blackberry came into our care in October, we were immediately concerned about her mobility. Blackberry had obvious muscle wasting in her hind end, and had a bit of a hop in her gait. After evaluation at our vet and a consultation with a specialist, it was determined that Blackberry has bilateral cruciate damage. Given what a huge and difficult surgery bilateral TPLO repair would be for this sweet, older gal, we've opted to have her evaluated and fitted for custom braces in hopes that we can keep her comfortable and improve her mobility in a less invasive way. And BOY have they made a difference! Blackberry loves to walk in her braces and is very patient as her foster mom puts them on. Now, she’s a “Bionic Berry” and nothing can stop her!

Blackberry is very friendly and affectionate. She’s the town mayor – meeting everyone on the street with a hello, a HUGE smile, and a tail wag. She is great with humans of all sizes, though she is a little rough with her love for little ones (she just loves you sooooo much). There is no such thing as a bad day when Berry is around. We’ll often find her snuggled up with her people or in a dog bed with her favorite toy destuffed in front of her. Berry has great manners too! She is house trained, crate trained, walks great on leash, and is eager to please. Next to walkies and snuggles, playing dress up is her third favorite thing. Berry has lived with other dogs in the past and does well with them, if they are not put off by her desire to be in their faces and best friends immediately. Blackberry is truly a special girl and is so deserving of a loving family to call her very own… could that be yours?

Spencer could use some well-wishes and good vibes as he undergoes another surgery today! Our handsome lovebug boy had a procedure a few weeks ago to remove some concerning masses. He's back in today to get wider margins. Excluding today's surgery and biopsies, Spencer's medical care is over $2,000. This is another example of your donations at work! ❤️
