Though it may seem that Iris was bored at Estrella Tacos y Mas's 6th anniversary celebration this past Sunday, we promise she had a blast and we hope you did too! We were able to raise over $300 for our cause!! Thank you to our hosts and everyone who stopped by to say hello!

All 4 Paws & Labor of Love
All 4 Paws is turning 15!
Rescue is a team effort, and All 4 Paws has been incredibly lucky to forge lasting partnerships over the years. Labor of Love Transport Rescue does amazing work for their communities, and we are grateful for Holly and her team.
"Labor of Love has had the honor of being a southern rescue partner of All 4 Paws almost since both of our beginnings. I can say with absolute certainty, without All 4 Paws, we would not be rescuing dogs today. It’s hard to explain the bond between our rescue groups given that we've never actually met. We have communicated with each other almost daily for over a decade. We had standing dates every weekend until Covid, and now we settle for every other weekend. The amazing part? It is all because of dogs and this burning fire inside both of our organizations that has flickered a few times, but has never been damped out, to see them overcome abuse, neglect, and exploitation at the hands of greedy and uncaring humans.
The states we represent, North Carolina and South Carolina, have the dubious distinction of being ranked numbers 47 and 48 in animal welfare legislation. That means we do virtually nothing to protect our dogs. We knew many years ago our only hope of saving the numbers that needed to be saved was to get them the heck out of here.
Enter the extraordinary All 4 Paws Rescue. We were ecstatic over the opportunity to work with them and our relationship has grown over the years. Rescue partnerships are built on trust. Trust is built upon proving yourself time and time again. We have had hiccups, but we’ve never doubted each other’s desire to put these dogs first over and over and over. Because of this partnership, thousands of our southern dogs, and I do mean thousands, have been saved from euthanasia. They not only got a reprieve from certain death, but they were ushered into the arms of another rescue and forever families who wanted them. Is there a better feeling on earth than to be wanted and loved

In celebration, we are sharing some of our favorite stories of rescue leading up to our anniversary on May 9th. Annie was bitten by the volunteer bug and has made a huge impact on All 4 Paws and our ability to save lives!
"I started volunteering for All 4 Paws in 2015 when I brought home Ziggy as a foster. Ziggy's arrival was delayed by a week due to an illness, but wow, was he full of energy when he did get here! Ziggy was found as a stray and was so skinny at just 13lbs. He was shaved down to get rid of his matted fur and I fell for him right away. He brought such a zest for crazy silliness that we decided we needed to keep him. He's 12 now and still full of silliness that keeps us entertained. I wanted to find other ways to help so I began working on adoption applications, helping with dog arrivals, doing adoption appointments, attending events and anything else I can find. I have made wonderful new friends and fallen in love with hundreds of dogs. This is an amazing rescue and I cannot imagine my life without the joy and yes, some tears, that working with these pups gives me."

All 4 Paws is turning 15!
In celebration, we are sharing some of our favorite stories of rescue leading up to our anniversary on May 9th. Michelle and her family have been a huge asset to our team and mission, and have helped us rescue countless lives... including some very special seniors.
"Crazy to think it's been almost a decade since we adopted our first dog from All 4 Paws. We knew she was a mama dog and all her babies had been adopted so she was ready for her own forever home. She was saved from a high kill shelter and all 11, yes, 11 of her babies had been given the gift of life because of All 4 Paws, but we didn't know much about the "how". When we went to meet her at the rescue we had the privilege of meeting one of her foster parents. We learned so much more about her and all of her goofy idiosyncrasies, but more than that, we learned how incredible and important foster families were to the mission of saving lives. A few months later we decided we wanted to pay the gift of life she was given forward and we were all in as fosters. Over the years we have adopted a total of 5 dogs from All 4 Paws and fostered dozens more. Our children have grown from toddlers to teens learning firsthand the values of patience, kindness, and compassion. We've had easy dogs that just needed a soft bed and some snuggles and we've had dogs that broke our hearts with their struggles and their resilience. It's an honor to play a small part in the lives of these dogs and know that no matter how long they're with you, they're forever a part of you. There are a lot of amazing rescues out there doing the hard work, the good work, but we'll forever be committed to All 4 Paws. Their integrity, their values, and their inclusion truly make them "best in show"!
Bonus note: The dog that started it all is still living her best life! She's played such an important role in this journey for our family and we owe so much of our foster success to her. You can peep her as the opener of the slide

In celebration, we are sharing some of our favorite stories of rescue leading up to our anniversary on May 9th. This past January, we had to say goodbye to one of our most valuable advocates, Murphy Eugene… just a few weeks shy of the 8th anniversary of his rescue. All 4 Paws Founder and Director, Kristen, had this to share about Murphy and his impact…
“In January of 2016, All 4 Paws took in a special needs dog after he'd been found abandoned. It was immediately clear that he was an extra special pup and our entire team fell in love with him. We decided to make him our rescue mascot and he lived with my family ever since. From day one, Murphy was an ambassador for rescue, resilience, and compassion. He represented his fellow rescue canines at numerous events and outreach programs, made countless kids smile, wore every costume imaginable without a single complaint, and received more belly rubs and treats than any other dog on the planet. Murphy had a way about him that just made you smile - from his love for life to his goofy personality - you just couldn't help but be happy when Murphy was around. Despite being dealt a multitude of handicaps and medical issues, he was upbeat and sweet every day of his life. We had to say goodbye to our extra special boy. Things sure will be different without his snoring, barking, food bowl dumping, hole digging, wall eating, chubby butt around. Rest Easy, Murphy Eugene. You did great🌈💙🐾”

In celebration, we are sharing some of our favorite stories of rescue leading up to our anniversary on May 9th. Amy is one of our most dedicated volunteers and fosters!
“Almost 14 years ago, after recently moving to the area, I was looking for volunteer opportunities in the community and ways to meet new people. I happened to stop by a social event at a local boarding facility with my dogs where All 4 Paws Rescues’ founder, Kristen, and some volunteers were in attendance with some adoptables. We started talking and the passion Kristen had for rescue was palpable We chatted for quite a while about the mission and all the opportunities that were available. I went home that night and applied to volunteer. Never would I have imagined what that little application would lead to. Not only did I find my people, I found a sense of community and amazing friendships. They welcomed me with open arms, and I found myself fully invested with helping however I could. Over the last 14 years I have pretty much helped with every facet of the rescue and wouldn’t have it any other way. All 4 Paws has brought me over 150 foster fur children over the years including mama Abbie, who I helped deliver and raise her babies. Amazingly enough, only 4 fosters have stayed here permanently but I wish I could keep them all. Many members of my family have now adopted from All 4 Paws… you could say it’s a family affair! The compassion and care that this group gives to all the dogs, especially senior dogs, is unmatched. There is a reason adopters come back for their future pets. I am fortunate to have found this amazing group and blessed to be able to call them family. There is no better sense of community than becoming All 4 Paws Alumni and no better family to be a part of. I still to this day get updates on my foster dogs and have become close friends with many. I look forward to the future with this amazing group and encourage you to stop by one of our event

In celebration, we are sharing some of our favorite stories of rescue leading up to our anniversary on May 9th. Melanie and Topher have been steadfast fosters for 11 years!
"11 years ago, I was looking for a second pup as a companion for my lab. I was looking for a labby companion to adopt and came across Topher’s (then Shorty’s) profile. I should’ve known by the name! I arrived to meet him and was presented with this little white lowrider puppy who looked up at me and I knew he was home. I brought him home thinking it would be perfect harmony. Well, that first night I had this little puppy taking ownership of me and growling at his big brother Ty. Thankfully we gave it time and these two grew into true brothers. Topher was the pup I didn’t know I needed but don’t know how I would do life without him. He was the sweetest puppy boy right from the start. A week after adopting him my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Topher as a puppy would just snuggle in with her and be the calm love for her after chemo. He was the best therapy then and continues to be.
Little did I know that adopting Topher would open up a whole new world of rescue. I loved the experience of adopting so I started volunteering and going to events which then led into fostering and more! Topher has been the absolute best foster brother. He is always accepting when mom brings home yet another pup, welcoming them in and showing them what dogging truly should be! We’ve had old, young, blind, deaf, injured, multiples, shy, outgoing, playful, unsure, and everything in between! Meanwhile we are 169 fosters over 10 years and counting! Topher has been such an integral part with each and every one! I may have initially given Topher a home, but he has given me so much more!"

In celebration, we are sharing some of our favorite stories of rescue leading up to our anniversary on May 9th. Luke is one of our most trusted feline foster brothers and makes frequent appearances in photos and videos of the dogs and cats he mentors.
"Luke was a stray 6-week-old kitten when I started fostering him in September 2022. I’d lost three of my pets over the previous 17 months. Thankfully, kitten energy is hard to ignore and so Luke helped heal my heart and the hearts of my two remaining cats. I foster failed that October. 🙂
Since then, Luke’s grown into the most wonderful foster brother. He’s been a playmate and teacher to 19 dogs and 4 cats at less than two years old. And he’s not done paying it forward. All 4 Paws saved his life, so he’s helping to save others! 🤍"

Sushi quickly became a care-free companion after her life spent having puppies at a breeding kennel. She enjoys the little things and doesn't ask for much. All 4 Paws is turning 15!
In celebration, we are sharing some of our favorite stories of rescue leading up to our anniversary on May 9th. Peppa, a special needs English Bulldog puppy, was adopted in November 2023 and is thriving!
"We've owned plenty of pets over the years, but let me tell you, this girl, she's a once in a lifetime. I've followed All 4 Paws for years, and when Peppa came up for adoption, I just KNEW she belonged with us. Despite not planning to add another dog, reading her bio changed everything. We felt an instant connection, especially knowing she had special needs. When the email approving us to adopt Peppa came, I couldn't help but tear up. Knowing All 4 Paws believed we were the right fit for her meant everything. The next morning, we went to meet our girl. The staff and her foster family welcomed us warmly, making us feel right at home. Leaving All 4 Paws that day with our special potato filled our hearts.
Peppa embodies resilience and joy despite facing hurdles. Dealing with Tetralogy of Fallot and front leg deformities requires constant care and medication, with a shorter life expectancy looming over her. Initially unable to walk upon arriving at All 4 Paws, Peppa has defied odds, displaying remarkable progress. Despite her susceptibility to injuries, she is surprisingly mobile. Peppa has no idea anything is wrong with her, and she is living her best life! Every day, I cherish the opportunity to care for her, ensuring she has the fullest life possible, regardless of its duration. Peppa isn't just a pet; she's my steadfast companion, my cherished snuggle partner, and an undeniable blessing to our family.
Our positive experience with All 4 Paws didn't end with Peppa's adoption. They've been incredibly supportive, providing guidance on her care, recommending veterinarians and specialists, and offering love and encouragement whenever we've needed it. They've been our guardian angels throughout this journey. I cannot thank them enough for ta

Hercules is one of thousands of lives that have been saved. His story of survival is miraculous! In celebration of this important milestone, over the next 2 weeks we will share impactful stories that highlight all we’ve accomplished, the lives that have been changed, and give you behind-the-scenes looks at some of the happily-ever-afters that our history is filled with.
"Hercules was found roaming the streets of Philadelphia in September 2019. He was extremely matted and could barely stand for more than a few seconds. At only eight months old, he was struggling to survive. He was literally starving to death. All 4 Paws stepped in and went to ACCT to try to help in any way possible. Once in the care of All 4 Paws, and his matting was removed, it was shocking to see the thin and frail body underneath. Due to his body shutting down from lack of nutrition, he had to be put on a feeding schedule of frequent small meals. Thankfully, the amazing care and nourishment he received in his foster home worked. It was amazing seeing him transform as he gained his strength slowly. There is no way to know how long he was on the streets or what he endured before coming into the care of A4P, but one thing is for sure that he is now thriving. He loves his new life of having dog siblings and people in his life who love to snuggle him. No surprise that food is one of his favorite things. Despite the rough start, he holds no grudges. Wherever he goes, he loves meeting people and getting pets. He’s such a good boy who has even paid it forward with welcoming many A4P foster dogs into his home."
