Cookies are available for purchase to send to Arenac County Animal Control 💜🐾

Cookies help support me, Sarah, by having a second job. It allows me the flexibility to care for the SCMR Pups and provide an income.

If I am able to raise the funds over the spring and summer to bring on a rescue building to my property, my hopes are to use a portion of the building to bake dog treats to sell at a larger level, so I am able to be a caregiver for the dogs at SCMR.

Each “Husky” on the board represents a pound sold.

Our rescue to donate to this week in honor of Shiloh is Tina's Bed & Biscuit Inc. She does amazing things there and her rescues deserve some homemade cookies.

Thanksgiving Barkery Box! 🦃

It’s not a subscription, but a monthly offering.
This time around we will be offering boxes for purchase to Husky Halfway House.

Please place as a separate order if ordering for yourself. It allows me to track the rescue boxes easier and to avoid shipping costs as the Barkery covers shipping for the rescue boxes.

Ordering ends 11-15-24 to allow time to bake over the weekend and then start shipping.

Also, my “large” dog toys that came were not large at all, so I had to re-order different ones. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I had a flavor I had been siting on and with Thanksgiving approaching, I am releasing it to Huskey.

This weeks Animal Shelter is the Ausable Valley Animal Shelter. This was Arlo’s shelter that had an amazing animal control officer who stood up for him to give him a chance for life at sanctuary.

When ordering for the Shelter it does have to be a separate order because I have those as “pickup” to avoid shipping charges for everyone. Sorry guys, best this non-computer design nurse can do 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cookie drop!

Phoenix is the new cookie this past week.
I am offering pupfins and beignets again made to order.

I also am offering those as items to be purchased for the rescue/Shelter each week. So, two separate cookie shelter/rescue option. One for cookies and one for beignets/pupfins.

Our rescue/shelter this week is Mother Lode Husky Haven 🐾💜

Packaging starts tomorrow to ships out Wednesday. Ordering ends on Saturday and then a new cookie drop the following week.

Thank you all as I know I have said it before, but this has allowed me to drop to part time nursing to be at home with the dogs right now while we get through what this evil human has done.

Coookie drop!

Each week I plan to bake 100lbs of our gourmet dog cookies. The cookies are designed around a dog from SCMR.

In memory of Shiloh, there is an option to purchase cookies for the shelter/rescue I have selected for the week. This week I will be mailing to Help From My Friends' Pet Crisis Center in Bellaire, Mi. For very 10lbs of cookies purchased for them, The Barkery will donate an additional pound of dog cookies.

This is a means to help support me, Sarah, to be able to care for the SCMR Pups and remain home with them.

Trialing new treat bags. Wasn’t liking the aesthetics of the freezer bags even though they held up to refrigeration. Pawprint bags do not hold up to cold or moisture. Trialing these bags. So far, the down side is flavors like Echo (coconut) and Luna (beef tallow) has spots that appear through the bag from the oils. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Not too much, but enough I’m watching. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I skipped out on the Farmers Market in TC this AM due to the rain. I knew it would cost more for me to drive in than I would make with the weather.

Our website has been updated with what’s available.
The Winnie repair was a way larger bill than expected and funds are low for Monday and Tuesdays vet visits for Arlo, Quinn, Tucker, Aspen, Blue, and Shiloh.

Cookie sales help with vet expenses. The Pupfins and Beignets I will make fresh tomorrow before shipping out.

You may notice we have new bags :)

Sadly, our cute paw prints were not holding up to the cold. I was baking all week for the market and storing in the freezer until market day, but the bottoms of the paw print bags were breaking.

I switched to these compostable, BPA free freezer bags. I also got a small printer to add the label to the bag which includes the ingredients so you want have those pieces of paper in your boxes anymore when I shop of ingredients:)
