I would like to introduce the latest pup to our program! Everyone meet Mia. She's truly a doll and a smart doll at that! Her owner says that his favorite thing about her is her goofy personality.

With more people getting out with their dogs and kids during this nicer weather, here are some reminders to keep everyone safe:

Public service announcement to parents from TRY It Dog Training Services. Please teach your children to respect dogs, especially dogs they don't know. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
1) never let them run up to a dog they don't know. This is threatening behavior and even the most mild tempered dog may not like it.
2) never let them get up in a dog's face. Dogs also feel threatened by this
3) teach them to pet them on the back. Not the top of the head, legs or tail.
4) ALWAYS make sure they ask permission from the owner before they approach or pet a dog to insure they are friendly.
5) if a dog runs or moves away don't let them chase them.

These are just a few important things to keep in mind. It will keep parents, children and dogs all safe and teach children valuable lessons about showing respect to animals.

Tucker is doing wonderfully! He has just about mastered all the basic commands including, sit, down, up and stay. Along with that, he has learned off when he gets a little too pushy. He's getting closer and closer to graduating from the first program!
