*Welcome almost adoptable Jenni!*

Hi, My name is Jenni and I'm a super sweet 15-month-old English Bulldog girl, who will steal your heart with my perfectly wrinkled face. When you first meet me, I may be shy but I quickly bounce out of it and let my fun and sweet personality come through.

There aren’t any other dogs here in my foster home, but at my last home there were a few. I got along with most of them, but there was one I didn’t like very much which is why I’m with CEBR now.

I'm still a puppy and I have energy! I love to go on walks, sniff the world and play fetch. I'm very good on the leash and know to use the bathroom outside. I will let you grab the toys out of my mouth so you can toss them again. I am very playful and sometimes think your hands are toys but if you redirect me to toys (and especially rope toys) I will be good. In good puppy fashion, in the middle of a play session I will get tired and feel the need to nap...right away!

Talking about naps, I LOVE the couch and the human bed. Give me a comfy blanket and I will snooze for hours. I sometimes have small accidents on blankets or soft materials, it's a bad habit I got as a younger puppy, but nothing a good washable p*e pad or blanket can't handle. Foster mom is working hard on correcting this with me but I will need you to be patient with me as I learn better habits. I also like my crate for naps and nighttime, it's my safe space. Toss one or two treats in there and I will be the happiest gal and sleep through the entire night.

Next to sleeping and playing, my other hobby involves eating. Apparently I eat pretty fast, so my foster mom has been putting my kibble in a toy and I love having to "work" for my food. If you are looking for someone to stare at you while you eat, I'm your girl. That said, I have never stolen food off my human's plate (probably because I'm too short for the dining table).

Overall, I'm a very good girl and looking for my forever family where I can cover foster mom and/or dad with lots of kisses.

Just a little "mmm mmmm good" to get you through your day. We needed to share this sweet face to brighten your day!

I'm Juniper...though my foster family loves to call me Junie, June Bug, or even Junie Lunie! I absolutely love curling up on the couch with my foster mom for cozy snuggles and feel so safe and happy in her company. I’m a quick learner and almost fully potty trained, which I’m really proud of! I came from a breeding operation so potty training was all new to me. And I'm smart as can be! And learned so quickly!

I’ve also been discovering just how fun toys can be, and I’m getting better at sharing them with my foster furry siblings—I’m a very considerate playmate! I enjoy playing, but I also know how to settle down and enjoy some peaceful time with my humans.

I’m still learning new things every day and would thrive in a home that’s patient and ready to help me grow. Whether it’s a game of fetch, a fun walk, or just curling up together, I’m ready to bring lots of love and joy to my forever family!

*Welcome almost adoptable Grady!*

Hi everyone, I’m Grady. I’m a male English Bulldog, and I’m about 2 years old and weigh 44lbs. I came into rescue after being found on the streets with two other bulldogs (do you remember Edgar and Lenore? Those are my siblings!). I had something called “Cherry Eye” and needed surgery so I could see more clearly.

I have had two surgeries to correct my "Cherry Eye" in both eyes, and now I'm cuter than ever and glad that is over! I LOVE being close and lounging with my foster parents anytime of day and must have a spot in the middle when we sleep. I prefer laying on their neck or top of them in some fashion, I love being close. I do give them space at times, and do not need to be by their side at all times, I like my 'quiet' times too.

They are teaching me when/where to go 'potty' and I have been doing a great job mostly. I still need to work on about 25% to be perfect! They give me treats and praise me when I do it right.

There aren’t any other dogs here at my foster home, but I’m fine passing dogs on the street. Since I came in with my brother and sister, I’d probably be okay with another dog in my new home.

My favorite thing in the world is eating! Boy am I messy and get it down in record time, I may not be tasting all of the goodness :) I am not so excited to drink the plain water, I will hop into the Shower for a drink, since I have more fun lapping the water spout- kinda weird I know.

I am a very good partner on walks, I do not pull and my foster family says I’m a “dream” on a leash. I just sniff all the new scents and enjoy the journey. I can also jump like a gazelle when I’m excited, so getting 'up' is never a problem- I’m very athletic.

I have my favorite sleeping chair with the higher arms so I can rest my head and not SNORE. I have not had any accidents on the furniture and seldomly roughhouse on it- a soft blanket is much preferred.

*Welcome adoptable Riggs!*

Hi everyone! I’m Riggs, a 60lb, 2-3 year old male English Bulldog, and I’m looking for a forever family. My foster momma says that I’m doing a really good job learning to be a house dog, and I’m fitting in really well here at my foster home. I’m friendly with the other dogs here, and even the cat.

I’ve done so well at house training, that I don’t have to wear those silly “pants” anymore (phew!), and I’m sleeping through the night too.

I enjoy being outside, if one of my humans is there with me, but other than that I could lay on the couch all day and snooze! I do like to play sometimes, usually when I see my foster dog siblings playing too. I love tennis balls, Nyla bones, and pretty much any toy I can get my hands on. I do have to mention that sometimes I also take a shoe, but not to chew,  just to snuggle with! I swear! Since we’re talking about it, I guess I should let you know that I love my toys so much that I guard them, and can get protective of them when other dogs come by.

I’d love a laid back home that doesn’t expect me to go on hikes or anything. I can’t wait to shower you with love and affection in return!

*Even though Bella has already been adopted, we still wanted to let this sweetie tell you about herself*

Hi, I'm Bella! I’m a super sweet and adorable 2-year-old English Bulldog. I might have a squishy face and an even squishier heart, and I’m known to steal hearts with my extra-adorable mug. 😊

I absolutely love everyone – kids, dogs, cats, and humans of all kinds! I’m a social butterfly, and I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by my favorite humans and fur siblings. My playful nature comes out when I get my favorite toys or when I’m playing with other dogs. I have these little bursts of energy where I’m zooming around, but don’t worry – I’m also a pro napper. I love my sleepy time just as much as I love a good game of fetch or a romp in the yard. I’m super easy going – you can take me on walks, on car rides, or just chill at home with me. I’m always down for whatever you’re up for.

If you’re looking for a buddy who’s up for a little adventure or just wants to hang out and snuggle, I’m your girl! I’m an excellent snuggler and love to curl up with my humans when it’s time to relax. I’m mostly potty trained (with a little guidance needed here and there), and I sleep through the night without a p*ep. Honestly, it doesn’t take much to make me happy – just the presence of a kind human is all I need to light up!

*Welcome almost adoptable, Brynn!*

Hi all, I want to introduce myself. I’m Brynn. I’m a bulldog gal, and I think I’m two or three years old. I’ve also been told I have a beautiful brindle coat, and a very kissable face.

I want to let you know I’m quite an affectionate little lady and can’t stand to be away from my foster dad. I follow him around everywhere and prefer to be touching him when possible. Some people would say I’m clingy but I consider it love. In any case they will have to get used to it because that’s how I am.

My foster sister, another bulldog, is very helpful to me and is showing around it the best places to hang for some treats. We get along great and love to chill on the couch together. It’s totally fine with me if my forever family has another dog. I guess I should also tell you, I’m house trained.

My favorite places are- on the bed, on the sofa in the TV room, on the bed in the guest room, and on the couch in the living room. Notice a theme? I’m a lady of leisure and like to be comfy. I like to watch TV, and when I get bored I play with my toys or catch a few minutes of snoozing.

CEBR has been kind enough to take care of all my medical needs and I think I’m in pretty good shape now. I’m almost ready to find my forever family, so if you think that might be you- let CEBR know. Ah life is good!

This is the sound of a dog that knows he is safe. Wicket is finding solace in the quiet of the corners of his foster home. He’s easing into life outside a breeding facility. A warm home is totally new to him. That’s why we just love this video. His transformation will take time. But it’s starting. Now. ❤️

We promised a fun surprise. And guess what? We have 5 fun surprises! Late in the day on Saturday we received a call from another breed rescue asking if we could take in a few bulldogs....from 300 miles away...the next day.

We had to scramble to find foster homes with about 3 hours notice, we had to scramble to find volunteers to help transport from out of state to IL and WI, then to various foster homes.

What an endeavor it was! (OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE AMAZING!).

So today we are tickled to introduce to you several retired breeding dogs (from 3 different breeders) all brought into the welcome open arms of rescue.

We will be introducing you to them over the next 24 hours and raising funds to cover their care. Our average cost of care for each is about $1500. We are eager to provide them with the best!
