AdobeDogs specializes in training the family dog to be a wonderful member of our community. Training things like polite greetings (no jumping!), loose leash walking, and all things puppies need to know. Trish, the founder, has moved out of the area, but Molly Hughes, CPDT-KA, and Marina Egorova continue to teach "Trish's way."

Classes are held Saturday and Sunday mornings and Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. Private consultations are also available.

Dogs at Play: Good, Bad and Warning Signs
Starts Saturday, October 14, 11:00 pm

Ever wondered what dog play is all about? Does play have to be fair and balanced? How can you tell if you should step in and stop a play session? Is it okay for dogs to play rough with each other? Do adult dogs still want to play?

Join us for this special seminar where we will explore and decipher dog body language during play. The seminar meets three times--the first week will be humans only while Julie Bond discusses play behavior in dogs. The remaining 2 sessions are with dogs.

Whether you have a new puppy, a rowdy teenage dog, a new rescue or an older dog--don't miss this fantastic opportunity to learn about play behavior from our own certified Animal Behaviorist, Julie Bond.

This class is limited to 8 people with dogs. The second week we will allow 4 of the dogs to come; and the other 4 dogs will come the third week. I will let you know whether your dog comes week 2 or week 3. Rowdy players are ok; but, please, no aggressive or reactive dogs.

There are 3 options for this seminar.

TRICKS! TRAINING! TRICKS!

Starts Tuesday, June 20, at 6:00 pm

A whole class of just tricks and fun! Why? Because learning can be more fun -- and effective -- when you are having fun! The training sneaks in between the tricks!

While it may seem like fluff, you will learn about getting accurate and fast responses from your dog. This class will help you sharpen your training skills as you have fun with your pup.

You'll be surprised at how fast your dog can learn cute behaviors you never thought possible. Your dog be able to entertain you and your friends. Tricks are also a great way to exercise your dog. AND, the American Kennel Club has introduced a Trick Dog title!

Learn how to bring animals' healing power to others in the community. Successful pet-assisted therapy animals go into schools, nursing homes, hospitals, and more, providing unconditional love and support to people in need. In this class, we will discuss your dog's potential for therapy work and review the training needed to be a successful pet therapist.

This special class will focus on how to bring up your puppy to give him or her a good start on becoming a therapy dog—behaviors to encourage and some to discourage. You will work on calmly meeting new people, dealing with medical equipment, moving in small spaces, understanding people with dexterity and gait differences, and learning the basics of taking your dog into a school or library reading program. (Although this class is geared toward puppies, older dogs can also benefit.)

Prior obedience training is NOT required. Dogs must like meeting new people and not be fearful of them. NO GROWLY DOGS ALLOWED!!!

This class meets for three sessions. The first session will be people only; your pups will come for the second and third meetings.

Julie Bond is the Staff Behaviorist for Furry Friends Pet Assisted Therapy Service, a group which has been providing pet-assisted therapy to people all over the South San Francisco Bay Area for more than 20 years.
