Good morning!!! We have some news on our Scranton feral cat TNR project! Here’s the details!
1. We were awarded a $12,000 grant through the Scranton Area Community Foundation.
2. EPAA at Nay Aug was kind enough to give us some dedicated spay/neuter days.
3. This program is only for feral cats that are caught in a trap in Scranton. We are concentrating our efforts in South Side and West Side. This will allow Scranton Animal Control to dedicate more time on the rest of the city.
4. We are in need of volunteers to trap and transport to and from Nay Aug on the spay day dates. If you have your own traps and reside in any part of the city, we will gladly add you to the list for a certain number of traps.
5. We have our own traps but are in need of more so if you have your own that is awesome. We can also give you cat food to help trap.
6. You cannot just show up at these events without an appt. You have to be put on the list. Please text or leave a voicemail with the rescue at 570-357-8032. You can email at [email protected]. You can also text Shannon on her personal cell if you already have her number. These are the dates:
Thursday, June 23
Thursday, June 30
Tuesday, July 12
Thursday, July 14
Thursday, July 28
Thursday, August 4
Thursday, August 18

We will return all texts and messages within a reasonable time and confirm the appt. THIS WILL COST YOU NOTHING. Just your time to trap and transport.
