Service dogs are NOT just well trained pets, therapy dogs, or emotional support animals.
Service dogs do are not "certified", bur are very specially trained to do certain tasks for a certain person.

It is estimated that more than 300 dogs took part in the search, rescue and recovery efforts at ground zero in the aftermath of 9/11. In addition to search and rescue dogs, therapy dogs were also brought in to provide much-needed comfort to first responders.

Today on the anniversary of 9/11, we pause to remember our heroes—both human and canine.
