We have more holiday PUPDATES!! 1. Is Sarge in Killeen clearly relaxing in his car seat. 2. Austin looking so dapper on his cheetah print. 3. Just around the corner from Austin in the same family, Odin is demonstrating corgi bed takeover. Many of us have fallen victim to this overload of sweetness.4. Baby Tiana was out in her first walk about in the grass. I LOVE watching them explore. ❤️🐾❤️

We have some PUPDATES that are just too much! First Casey (Summer x Lubbock) and Comet (Lima x Lubbock) got all fancy for their holiday photo! I love the bow tie!! Next Andarna (Berlin x Lubbock) enjoyed her first snow for Thanksgiving. 3. Stella (Aspen x Lubbock) and Benji (Berlin x Lubbock) live with sisters and got to celebrate Benji’s mom, Ashley’s, birthday. And 4. from Florida, Westine (Aspen x Lubbock) said keep the snow, I’m wearing a sweater at 50 degrees.

I think I can comfortably say that Ruby was tricking us with her weight gain and her tight belly. She does not have puppies…no buns in the oven. Even though I’m really sad about it, I have to trust there was a reason I felt called to have Lubbock’s surgery. If you are on the waiting list for Ruby‘s next litter, I will keep you there because she and Rickey will be having the next pairing and I’m sure they will be beautiful babies! I will keep you posted when she comes into heat. Photo of the tricksters so it doesn’t get lost.

***UPDATE! We have the best puppy parents!! In just 2 HOURS 15 OUT OF 16 parents replied and sent pictures of their birthday babies to me! That’s 94% ( and I know the last one will message tomorrow. THIS MAKES MY HEART SO HAPPY!! Thank you for indulging me!!

Confession time!! I just love it when Lubbock puts his little feet up on the drawer handle and tries to look on the counter while I’m cooking. He doesn’t steal any food and he doesn’t  go any farther than just at the edge to see what I’m making and if it might be something he wants 🙂 I know this is not a good behavior, but I have no desire to fix it because it is stinking adorable!
Tell me what behaviors your dogs have that are not good that you don’t want fix because you love them so. I’m not talking about any reactivity or any resource guarding. (I haven’t heard of any of our dogs with those issues, but I would encourage you if those are happening, please reach out to me privately and let’s work on how to get that fixed). But just cute little things that aren’t great but so adorable.

OK Syds Cities family, with the upcoming of our second generation, we are going to be looking for two guardian homes.

What this means is that we are looking for families who live within the DFW and surrounding area. (3 hr max distance).

These guys will reside full time with their guardian family and come home, here to Syds Cities, to vacation with us for upcoming litters.

A guardian family is responsible for all basic care costs, just as you would be for any dog, but any breeding related expenses will be handled by us.

When they are ready to retire we will take care of their spay/neuter and then ownership will be changed over to the guardian family, at no cost.

She is 15mo old Aspen’s baby girl. Here’s what her mom, Blanche, said today :
“She's the best dog we've ever had. She's so active. Bill plays with her outside. She has stong muscular hind legs of any dog I've known. Thank you so much for sharing her to us. We love her!”

This is a combination PUPDATE  with a prayer request for one of our own.
Below you will see one of our mom’s, Lima napping with her baby, Millie, from her most recent litter. You can also see on the far right of the photo their sister, Mocha. Mocha crossed the rainbow bridge this week. Lima’s and her guardian family’s hearts are heavy. She had a fantastic long life. She told mom when it was time to go, but it’s never an easy decision to make. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. When one of Syds Cities own hurts, we all understand their pain.

We have an Announcement!!
A lot of our moms have retired and we are so pleased with our decision to limit their litters. For Syds Cities, however, the second generation being on deck means there is a changing of the guard coming down the line!
The king, Lubbock Andrew,  is ready to step down from the throne and name his successor.
Lubbock had surgery last week and he is home with us recuperating. I think he’s fitting in super well to his new role as a retired pet ❤️

As an aside, we believe there is a final Lubbock litter due the first part of November!!  Those of you interested in having siblings at home let us know!
