It’s Veterinary Appreciation Day! And guess what?

We hit the jackpot with Dr. Ross. 🩺💥

She’s not just our fearless leader - she’s the glue, the backbone, the one sprinting between exam rooms with a stethoscope in one hand and her lunch (probably untouched) in the other.

Dr. Ross wears all the hats: owner, doctor, surgeon, therapist (to both pets and humans), problem-solver, and the occasional dog treat dispenser. Somehow, she balances it all with grit, grace, and that classic Dr. Ross determination.

We see you. We appreciate you. And we honestly don’t know how you do it all (but we’re really glad you do).

Beginning Saturday, June 7th, Roper Mountain Animal Hospital will be closed on Saturdays throughout the month of June as we temporarily adjust our schedule.

This change is only temporary, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work behind the scenes to best support our team and provide the highest quality care.

If your pet needs medication refills, food orders, or routine care, we encourage you to plan ahead during the week.

For any urgent concerns after-hours for your pet, please refer to a list of resources on our website:

📦 Todd Has Entered the Box.
And therefore, RMAH will be closed this Saturday.

Why? Because once a cat is in a box, all external responsibilities are null and void. Appointments? Canceled. Vaccines? Paused. My availability? Unlisted.

I will spend the day:
• observing the void from inside this cardboard sanctuary
• ignoring the laws of time and productivity
• and denying entry to all who approach without tribute (churu preferred)

We’ll resume normal business hours on Monday, assuming I choose to emerge. No promises.

Until then, take a page from my book: sit in something you barely fit in, judge silently, and let the world wait.

TSA (Todd Service Announcement)

ahem Attention,

As the resident cat and supervisor of all things important, I’m here to announce that Roper Mountain Animal Hospital will be closed this weekend in observance of Memorial Day.

We’ll be closed Saturday, May 24th & Monday, May 26th, and will reopen on Tuesday, May 27th.

If your pets need medication or food refills before the long weekend, please contact the humans promptly. I prefer to keep things running smoothly… especially nap schedules.

Wishing everyone a safe and restful holiday weekend — and sending extra purrs to those who served 🇺🇸

🎂Happy 3rd Birthday to our sweet girl, Roxy!🎂
She came in for her annual visit today and didn’t know it would turn into a surprise birthday celebration! We had some toys waiting for her in the exam room, and she especially loved her birthday doughnut toy. 🍩

Wishing her the happiest year ahead, filled with belly rubs, treats, and tail wags!🎈

An Update from the RMAH Team
We want to share that Dr. Trippe will be moving on from Roper Mountain Animal Hospital at the end of this month. Her last day with us will be Friday, May 30th.

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re incredibly thankful for the care, compassion, and dedication she’s brought to our patients and clients during her time here. We wish her all the best in this next chapter.

Your pet’s care will continue seamlessly with the rest of our veterinary team—and we have some exciting things in the works that we look forward to sharing with you soon.

🦄 We had a UNICORN come in last week at RMAH! 🦄

Okay… not literally. But it felt like it!
This adorable Italian Greyhound puppy came in for his visit, and if you’ve ever met one, you know how rare it is to see them as babies - they’re the unicorns of the dog world! 🐾

Our whole team was over the moon. Those long, wobbly legs, those tiny paws, that sweet little face - he stole every single heart in the building.

Welcome to the RMAH family, little one. You were a total highlight of our week! 💙

And an EXTRA special thank you to Dr. Ross and Dr. Trippe.

We see you feeling the weight of someone’s whole world in your hands and holding it with care. We see you recognizing the silent fears behind a client’s smile, and honoring the trust they place in you. We see you carrying the joyful moments and the heartbreaking ones, and still showing up every single day with hope, gentleness, and fierce dedication.

You show that same compassion not only to the pets who come through our doors, but also to the pets who mean the world to your own team - the pets of all of us who work alongside you at Roper Mountain Animal Hospital.
