We want to wish everyone happy and safe 4th of July! Please take precautions with your pets. Year after year, we see too many posts of missing pets during this time. Please be extra cautious with new pets if you don’t know how they react to fireworks. We recommend not leaving pets outside unsupervised. Always better to be safe than sorry.

Last night was such a fun session with these 2 cuties! Their family struggled with being able to walk them together often because of their over excitement of seeing other people and dogs. With their new techniques and practice, I’m confident walks are going to be much more enjoyable for the whole family! 🐾

Farm Family, how can we help?
We are here to support you with temporary housing available for your pets. We can house cats, dogs, small animals and some large livestock.

Do you have space to temp foster pets displaced by the fires? Message us your name,number, address along with what kind and how many animals you can help keep safe.

Our hearts are with members of the communities affected by these fires and the Firefighters working so hard to protect them.

We have made the decision to turn off our owner surrender forms for the time being. We are currently focused on aiding dogs in need at our two local open intake shelters, Post Falls Animal Shelter and SCRAPS in Spokane.

Our resources are not large enough to accommodate the flood of requests or the expectations from folks demanding we must take their animal immediately. We are fully committed to every animal we take into the rescue, and are mindful of helping those most in need.

We do hope this is temporary, but we have not set a timeline for resuming owner surrenders. Please spay and neuter your pets, stop buying dogs from craiglists or the street corner, and for the love of your animals do not take them into your home unless you are ready for the commitment of taking care of them for their lifetime. Soap box over.

We would love to help you keep your dog. If you need resources: food, fixing your fence to keep them contained, tips on crating and using canine enrichment, how to successfully crate and rotate, please send a message.
