Did you know the traditional grooming method for wire haired terriers is "hand stripping"?

Handstripping is a technique that has been used for centuries to maintain the wire haired coats of certain breeds. Handstripping involves removing dead top coat and "carding" out excess undercoat to encourage new growth. Tools used are stripping knives, pumice stones, rakes, latex gloves and chalks. Clippering these type of coats can soften the texture of coat.
