Toby’s First Birthday a bit delayed. We celebrated with the girls who love him so much. Actually the whole family does and he enjoys going to see them. We cooked dinner together and had his party. Fun fun, but we wore this little boy out. You’ll also notice he does not like wearing hats!!

You’re not going to believe what happened tonight. I scared my mom bad! She was cooking and noticed I wasn’t underfoot so she called me. I didn’t come. She called again and again. I’d been outside with Dad because I’m outdoor trained now, so mom thought I got locked out there. She looked, nope, so she was running through the house looking for me. She got really upset. I was nowhere to be found! Well, I knew where I was. Guess I should have barked…anyway, you’re gonna laugh now. She found me locked in my crate. No one did it and Mom was stumped. She figured out I fell in the top from the bed and didn’t know I can push up the top. We were all laughing! Okay, I wasn’t laughing but sure liked all the attention I got when they found me!!

We went to mom and dad’s friend’s house today. I met Harley, a chocolate lab, and at first I had to be super mean because I have to protect my mom. Then mom’s friend said she should put me down and let us play outside. I felt super different playing with my new friend. We did zoomies at full speed all over the yard! It was so fun!!

My mom figured out I’m allergic to chicken so that’s why I’ve had such a hard time. She bought stuff to clean up the mess under my eyes, and is making me my very own dog food. Tonight, I was jumping higher than the counter I was so excited when she made my dinner. She’s figuring out what I like and what’s good for me. Tonight I had beef, liver, blueberries, apple and parsley. This morning I scooted all the carrots out of the bowl. Ha, she thought I couldn’t see them! My dad took me for an in town road trip today to drop mom off at work then we went back to pick her up. I was sad when they crated me and left again. But mom said she loved me and would be back after work, and SHE CAME BACK! I love my life!!

I surprised my mommy by jumping into the rental bathtub tonight. Mom didn’t know I could and it was funny to her. I love water! Dad took me to the bay during doggy hours yesterday and I zoomed all over until we got to the water, then I was very careful because it was chasing me. Dad showed me we were okay and that’s all it took for me to be jumping over those tiny rolling waves and getting myself all sandy and wet. Oh I loved it. Came home and my hunmans gave me a bath. A perfect evening to me!! I’m sure mom will take a video when she goes with us next time. Tomorrow I meet my human grandpa and Grandma. I’ve had fun with the employees of Vacasa who have come to fix the TV, and get mom things that were dirty or missing. Now, it’s time for bed. Woof!

People say I’m spoiled. I don’t really know what that means. All I know is my mom and dad love me so much. I get to sleep with my mom, and my dad is taking me outside and teaching me. My mom dresses me a lot and I can tell you I’m not sure how I feel about that. I humor her though because I know it makes her happy. I know I’m super smart because my mom tells everybody. I do understand their words and can do what they ask of me, like get the correct toy they want to play with, get into the chair to get my harness on for a walk, and when my mom says now in this certain tone, I know I have to do what she said right away. When my mom doesn’t feel good I stay with her the whole day. She’s teaching me to be what they call a service dog. When she says help, I do what she asks me to do. It makes her really happy!

My human, whom I call Mom said I could have a page of my own to share my day to day life with you. I’d love for you to share your thoughts with me, and feel free to share pictures of your pet friends too. I’m a deer faced, deer legged chihuahua so I’m a lot bigger than the ordinary chihuahua. I’m very tall because I have very long legs. I prance when I walk, with my legs going to the side. My tail wags up and down too. I’m 11 pounds which is normal for my breed. My favorite thing to do is go for walks. My parents spell the word so I won’t know until they’re ready. I also love getting to ride in the car. My mom found out I also like to chase cars and motorcycles, I have no idea why! I hope you enjoy my adventures and silliness.
