Re*****on and Celtic had quads! She had zero interest in them and will come right to us to take them. Dad on the other hand was raised by his parents and would not come near us so we had to wait him out and finally got the two he had. It sucks because the dads really want them but if mom won't feed them we have to take them. Two are pretty big and the two dad ran around with all day are small. Hopefully they all make it

It's mind blowing how many calls/messages I get from people in states that have a primate ban. They either don't know and didn't think it was important enough to check or they do know and are too selfish to care. I could sell 20 monkeys a week if I only cared about the money like the majority of breeders out there. But we actually love and care about all of our monkeys. The few babies I sell a year, I raise from day 1 because their moms couldn't or wouldn't care for them. I don't pull my babies and sell them the next day, not caring where they end up. I have a bond with all my babies and will not sign them up to be euthanized or die of medical neglect because vets in illegal states won't treat them. Breeders/brokers and buyers that blatantly disregard the health and safety of innocent monkeys for their own selfish gain make me sick.

My beautiful Zen with severe metabolic bone disease has been here for a little over a year. She's been healing and getting stronger. Unfortunately her legs will always be twisted, she went years without the proper light or diet and a lot of damage was done. She has stabilized enough to have a friend. This is Cash, he was surrendered to me after he lost his brother and his mom didn't want him to be alone. I swear these 2 were made for each other

If you have done your research on marmosets and their care and you're ready for a huge commitment, message me!! He will be ready for his new mom or dad in about 2 weeks.
Check your City, county and state laws before contacting me. We do not sell to banned areas. So your full-time residence must be where monkeys are legal. Not half the year legal and half the year not. We also don't sell to states that require microchips or vaccines. He will need to be neutered. So you will need to find a vet with marm experience, not just a vet that sees monkeys. If you have a problem with spaying or neutering then I'm not the breeder for you. Hormone fueled aggression is the number 1 reason they are resold, rehomed or locked in cages to suffer alone.
We don't sell to anyone with children, they are NOT family pets.
They need a lot of care and attention so if you work full-time a single monkey is not for you.
If you live in Florida you will need a class 3 permit through FWC, they can take months to get, so don't contact me until you already have it.

Over the years I've had several teachers think that having a monkey in their classroom is a good idea. IT'S NOT. Adult marmosets hate kids. It's truly mind boggling that nobody takes the time to research. They just see something cute and go buy one. Not from me, you won't.
They can't be left alone in a cage all day surrounded by chaos, they need a ton of attention in a calm environment or they get depressed, frustrated, stressed, anxiety, aggressive, anorexia, they'll self mutilate, the list is endless. Monkeys are a huge liability and I doubt a school would risk a lawsuit but the teachers don't even think about a kid getting hurt or the monkeys health and safety, they just want to be the cool teacher with a monkey. You wouldn't be cool if you were charged with child endangerment and the monkey was euthanized, now would you?
These little monkeys are jealous, territorial and unpredictable. They are not like a classroom parakeet or hamster, they are wild animals that have sharp teeth and claws that can do serious damage and they go for the face and ears before you even have time to react.
Not to mention, schools are a cesspool with every human virus on the planet. Small monkeys do not have a strong enough immune system to fight off human illnesses and will most likely d!e. So stop being so damn selfish and think about the innocent monkeys life that will be cut very short because of your stupidity.

A safe way to keep our little guys warm on the colder nights. Make sure they can not get to any cords. They will chew them and get electrocuted. The totes aren't dirty, that's just residue from the misting system we use in the warmer months.

I think a lot of people are confused how close the light has to be for marms and tams to benefit from them. Here are a few pics. I have seen many people have the wrong light, no light at all or the proper light (160 watt mercury v***r bulb for reptiles) but it's so far away or not positioned correctly so they aren't getting any benefit from it. As you can see it needs to be close, but they also need something to sit or lay on so they don't have to hang on the side of the cage.

ALL marmosets should have dark faces, even geoffreys. If they're pale or light they are not healthy. My Whimsey is so fluffy her bangs work like a visor, shading her forehead.
Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD) is a disease caused by dietary and husbandry mismanagement.
MBD is associated with a lack of unfiltered sunlight (sunlight coming through a window is filtered) and inadequate vitamin D3 in the diet. Vitamin D3, commonly referred to as the sunshine vitamin, plays an important role in health. It is the only vitamin that can be made by the body from sunshine.
Callatrichids, like humans need sunlight to make and metabolize vitamin D.
Signs of the disease is pale face, reluctance to move, jump, climb, depression, loss of hair, angular bend in tails, bowed legs, rickets, tremors that will progress into seizures, paralysis and death. One of the most important items to ensure the health of a marmoset is the proper lighting, which is UVA/UVB they need both, the UVA helps them absorb D3, the UVB helps them absorb calcium, mercury v***r lighting is the best, because most reptile lights are UVA or UVB NOT both. Marms and Tams needs BOTH You can feed the best diet but without the right light to help metabolize that diet a marmoset or tamarin will NOT survive. The BEST full spectrum UVA/UVB 160 watt Mercury V***r Bulb Lamp and heat lamp in one on the market. Bulb lasts 3 times longer then other bulbs, Up to 2 years.
FULL spectrum light with carefully tuned peaks to ensure appetite, activity, calcium absorption and above all to prevent (MBD) metabolic bone disease.
If your marmoset or tamarin already has MBD you can stabilize the disease with supplements and the right lighting but it will never go completely away. MBD is devastating on their little bodies, and they need extra care for life. A female affected by MBD should NEVER be bred, the chances of her having a viable pregnancy are very slim, the babies rob her of ALL the calcium she desperately needs, leaving her with brittle, weak bones that can easily break. The mom and babies will most likely not survive.

Just a yearly reminder!! As the weather gets cooler and you turn on your heat, make sure you also run a humidifier for the monkeys. They're meant to be in a very humid environment. Our heat removes all the humidity from the air which causes their skin, lungs and nose to get very dry. Being itchy and sneezing all the time makes them uncomfortable. So run their humidifiers in the rooms they spend the most time in ❤
