Legacy of Hope Dog Rescue This is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the improvement of the lives of our best friends. This will aid in reducing over population. [email protected]

This is a rescue organization in Oklahoma created to rescue dogs in need, promote spay and neuter programs, and to educate the public regarding the bully breed. Currently millions of pets are euthanized every year due to over population. With the help of volunteers and donations we can help to provide low cost spay and neutering for our pets. With the support of donations, we can rescue and rehabi

litate dogs in need. We will provide shelter, care and training for those who are homeless. We work to find forever homes and once adopted we will support the adoptive owners to keep their new family member permanently. Finally, pitbull breeds are in grave distress. Of the dogs in shelters, 70-75% are pitbulls or pitbull mixes. Only 1 in 600 find a home and the remainder are euthanized. Due to the pervasive negative publicity surrounding this breed, there is a reluctance to allow one to become a family member. Yet this breed once was the most popular dog in the country, was the marine mascot, was called the nanny dog. We like many other ground breaking groups, we are working to change this negative perception to help this wonderful breed to obtain homes. Contact info:

Found dog needing his owner or a new home. While I was out jogging on Oct 7, “Howie” (name we’ve given him) followed me home (1½ miles). He started following me on Country Club Rd, Claremore, about halfway between Southaven and S 4120 Rd. He is a Black Lab mix, vet estimates ~8 mos old, 25 lbs. He had no collar or other id, but he is chipped. Unfortunately, the ph # associated with the chip has been disconnected. If you are the owner, you will have to tell us where he was chipped.
He had already been neutered, and we got him all his vaccinations. Still a puppy, he is very energetic and active. Although he plays a little rough, he is very affectionate, and has shown no hostility toward our small dog or our two cats.

Meet this beautiful girl, Koda, I've been fostering - a 1 year old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality! She was abandoned, scared, and starving when I found her. I brought her home and nursed her back to health
and now she is a healthy, playful, confident pup. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep her due to our cats and other dogs. She has been spayed, up-to-date on her shots, and ready for her forever home.
She adores belly rubs, long walks, and playing fetch with the ball - she'd make the perfect hiking or adventure buddy! She's super friendly with people and has a playful, outgoing spirit. She's also got a bit of an alpha personality, so she'd thrive best in a home where she can be the queen of the castle!" * (and no cats please - she's made it clear they're not her thing!) She's still young and learning, and would do best with someone familiar with strong, energetic breeds. She's playful, sometimes a bit rough in her excitement, but
always with a sweet heart. If you or someone you know is looking for a loyal companion who's ready for fun, love, and adventure - send us a message. We’ll get you in touch with her finders that desperately want to find her the home she deserves.

Bert is a neutered, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated 2.5-year-old, 81 lb black Labrador Retriever. He is full of life, love, and energy. He thrives with activity and companionship and truly needs to be in a home with at least one other dog to play with, as he’s very social. He’s also managing separation anxiety, for which he takes medication prescribed by his vet. With support and a consistent routine, he continues to do well.

Bert is incredibly affectionate, eager to please, and knows basic commands. Going for walks is one of his favorite activities, and he brings so much joy and spirit into any space he’s in. He’s a truly great dog.

Bert needs a home where his energy and activity level can be matched daily.
If you’d like to connect with Bert’s people, message us and we’ll make that happen.

** Flint was adopted but it didn’t work out, so he is still looking for his forever family…

Meet Flint, the 4-month-old terrier mix who thinks he’s part detective, part comedian, and part cuddle bug.

Flint’s hobbies include: zooming at top speed for no reason, investigating every squeaky toy in the house, and seeing how many chew toys he can fit in his mouth at once. He’s smart, curious, and full of puppy love (sometimes too full — it leaks out in kisses).

He’s great with dogs and kids, crate trained (though he’d much rather sleep in your bed, obviously), and working hard on his potty skills.

Basically, Flint’s the total package — if the package includes a side of chaos and a whole lot of charm.
