We really need your help, because Ila needs our help. Same Ila, different emergency situation.

Ila (eye-luh): strength, stability, growth.
After meeting her, I’d also say: sweet, loving, big o lap baby.
Ila had surgery on Monday to remove 2 blockages from her intestine from a toy she ate. Pit bulls, right? She went back to her finders (remember she was a courtesy- not one of ours) later that day with post op instructions. Including leash walks only, like after most major surgeries. Well, somehow, Ila got into Sevin Dust yesterday. Today we had the finders bring her back to the vet and had her surrendered over to us. Now, we are praying and doing all we can to save this sweet girl’s life. Ila doesn’t deserve this, she deserves a chance. She deserves a couch and belly rubs and a forever family that will always love her and tell her she’s pretty.
We really need help covering expenses for Ila.
Her bill from Monday is still unpaid, now we have this one. And prayer, that girl needs all of those.
We’ll update you on her progress. She has tremors and can’t walk right now. 😔

Hi my name is Lisa and I am Collette's foster mom. I want to Thank You all for your donations to her. From money for her surgery to all the amazing gifts she received at Christmas. She was extremely scared and kept to herself when I first got her. Now I get to watch her learn to be a dog. Play with the other dogs, toys, go in and out as she pleases and snuggle on the furniture. She is a sweet and loving but she scares easily....loud noises, vacuum and ect. She is going to take a very patient home that has plenty of time to work with her.

Topeka was adopted from us as a pup in 2022, she now goes by the name Lulu and is back with us and in boarding. She’s very sad and confused. She has no idea why she just lost her family.
She needs a foster, one that will help us understand who she is today, and the type of forever home she needs.

Cardi B 🥰
She is so sweet and gentle a very good baby. Loves being outside and loves her foster sisters. Hasn’t played with a toy yet ( almost once) but I wouldn’t rule it out. She know basic commands and working on leash manners. Is NOT kennel trained but I leave her out when I’m gone and no issues. Will sleep with you but goes to her bed during the night maybe for room! I know the bed is full 😆 Not sure about cats and we’re told she loves kids. She would make a great addition to a family and would love one of her own again. Cardi is spayed, up to date on shots, on preventatives and microchipped. Her fee is $175.

Oh Hall. Well, now he goes by “Baby”. But he’ll answer to either. Poor Baby Hall is stuck in boarding. He does great with other dogs and wouldn’t mind a companion, but is cool if he’s an only child too. Hall is a well behaved pup, knows his manners, is potty trained, crate trained. He’s really an easy guy. He has one little quirk of not being a fan of being leaned over. It’s claustrophobic. It’s personal space invading. It’s honestly a reasonable thing now that I think about it. Just don’t hover and he’s comfy. Baby Hall is out searching for a home. Either a foster, or forever, he’s up for either. He’d also prefer a home with no young kids. He likes them, but also likes them going home (same dude). Fostering is entirely free to you, if you’d like to even give Baby Hall a break for a few days, or a weekend, anything is helpful!

Baby Hall is a 4 year old border collie mix. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Incoming Return-

Meet Kevin! Kevin (then Chimichanga) was adopted as a puppy in 2022, but unfortunately, he needs to come back to us… which means he’s in need of a loving foster home. He’s a friendly, affectionate guy who gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids—he’s a real people-pleaser!

However, Kevin has been struggling with potty training in his current home. He did great in his previous foster home where he had access to a doggie door, but his current environment doesn’t have one, and that’s been a challenge for him. We’re looking for a patient foster who can help us figure out if there’s more to the potty training issue than just stubbornness. It’s possible there may be an underlying issue, and we want to make sure Kevin gets the support he needs.

Mia is waiting ever so patiently for a foster.
Five year old shepherd mix Miami is a very chill girl, wants to be near but not obnoxiously so. She is well behaved, good with kids, dogs.
Mia is absolutely stunning in person, pictures don’t do this girl justice. She’s also the most mild mannered, chilled out dog- in our very first introduction, I got the sweetest, most gentle little kisses from her. She stole my heart. ♥️
She is also heartworm positive, and will need a foster for a few months while she goes through treatment.

Andre.
Definitely not an outdoorsy cold weather dog. Could he grow into one? Sure. Do I think he will?

Andre is a sweet pitbull mix with a little bit of stubborn tossed in. He is the little brother your dogs didn't know they needed.
Andre is dog door trained, and very nearly potty trained. He is crate trained and working on the leash training (stubborn).

🌻 Meet Heidi, the stunning 4-month-old pup who's as graceful as she is adorable! This Border Collie/Lab (we think!) mix is a real smarty-paws—she learned “sit” on her very first day in her foster home. She’s got the brains, the beauty, and a heart of gold. She’s still working on her potty training, but with a little consistency (and a lot of treats!), she’s on her way to being the perfect pup.

Heidi’s an all-star in the play department! She gets along fabulously with the other dogs in her foster home, and though she’s a bit paw-sionate about being friends with the cat, the feeling is not mutual (poor Heidi's heart is a little broken). When she's not playing, you’ll find her snuggling with anyone who’s got a lap, or hanging with her canine buddies. She has a sweet disposition, a bit of a playful streak, and a lot of love to give.

Heidi is looking for a home with another dog or two to keep her company and share in the fun. Could she be your next best friend?

Full figured and sweet, Arista is like Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality. Beautiful but a bit awkward and a little clumsy.

Wanted to update everyone on Ila.
Surgery went well! But that girl was very blocked up. We’re assuming the filling from a stuffed toy.
She’s back home, with her finders, recovering and doing so much better.
But, we have a hefty bill to pay! Please help us cover Ila’s surgery. Any amount helps!
We didn’t have the funds when she needed it, and she’s a courtesy- not one of LOH’s dogs. But she was suffering and needed help- how could we say no?

Kewpie has been making herself comfortable at her foster home. Mostly making friends, but then there's Cola.
So after an unfortunate incident Kewpie learned that one is to be avoided.
If you have followed her most recent adventures, she was at an animal control in North Carolina, and she caught a ride home with our director’s husband, Ben. No word from the adopters, but that's just as well. I had words ready for them.
Kewpie is 3 years old, 70lbs, supposedly a canoodle. She loves tug toys, balls, fetch, wrestling, napping, and giving big sloppy kisses. Crate trained, potty trained, and great on a leash. Great in the car, but will not get in or out without help.
She will be available for adoption in a week or so, and her adoption fee is $175.

Meet Godzilla.
Godzilla is hoping to spend the cozy winter months with forever family!
He is nearly a year old, and all his siblings have been adopted. He still lives at home with Mom and Dad☹️
Parents are such a drag.
Godzilla is a sweet and cuddly pitbull schnauzer mix with a side of goofy. He enjoys spending time outside, then napping on the sofa. He hasn't had much leash time, but he is working on it.
He's good with dogs, and cats who like dogs.
