Pampered Pets Animal Rescue and Senior Sanctuary Pampered Pets Animal Rescue and Senior Sanctuary was originally started 11 years ago.

Today we are continuing the original Mission of rescuing pets from shelters and neglectful homes in addition working toward a sanctuary for seniors and hospice dogs.

ANNOUNCEMENT -This is Chelsea - my first rescue dog - even though I have loved every dog that has been a part of my life I still grieve this loss. Chelsea was one of a kind! Thank you Tracy Jacobs - who founded Pampered Pets - for allowing the name to be changed to honor Chelsea and all the dogs who need a 2nd chance. The rescue will now be called Chelsea's 2nd chance rescue. With the hope that we give others the same second chance to have a good life like Chelsea got.

And...Tracy said she had one dog for me to take on seems like she snuck this one in on me. This little dog doesn't have a name Tracy was calling her grandma which I am not fond of and she told me that telling me this dog's story would not renew any faith in humanity. She is pretty old and something is wonky with her back legs. You'll get taken care of now baby girl

Meet Amigo! He is a 13 year old handsome fella and its now in retirement here with the other seniors. To make him more comfortable I fixed him up the bed in a crate so he got used to everybody he however has decided the sofa is much more to his liking.

Oliver put in his tie on to say a great big thank you to everybody who donated to the garage sale. We were able to collect $1,500 which will get Oliver and some of the other seniors much needed dental work! Doesn't he looks thrilled?

Ok so it looks like the weekend July 31st and August 1st is when there will be a garage sale at 323 Creektrace Road Alex...

Ok so it looks like the weekend July 31st and August 1st is when there will be a garage sale at 323 Creektrace Road Alexandria from 9:00 to 3:00.. a big thank you to everybody who donated items for sale. All money collected goes to Pampered Pets animal rescue - it will provide much needed dental work for the seniors - like handsome Tiny Tim. There will not be any dogs available for adoption present on these dates. Also - if you have any gently worn shoes that you would like to donate to the shoe Drive that would be appreciated. Accepting men's, women's and kids shoes. The shoes will be given to an organization who takes the shoes and gives them to a micro entrepreneur in places such as Haiti and the Philippines to help these individuals develop their own business.
