Cutter and Dunkin ❤️

My sweet Cutter went to Michigan yesterday with his brother Dunkin(Roper)
I went back and fourth for a long time and at the end decided to place Cutter. When I say it was the hardest I mean it was the hardest thing ever.
I love all my babies but Cutter and I have a different bond for sure.

I still can’t believe this beautiful sable boy is still here!
Cutter is such a joy! Smart, funny and full of personality! Did I mention beautiful 😍 crate trained and potty training well.

People do better be responsible pet owners!!! If your dogs aren’t chipped then chip them! I have seen so many post on lost dogs! It’s not just 4th of July it’s everyday! I know things happen but it’s just getting ridiculous!
This right here is why I chip every pup before they leave my hands and also why my name is required to be on chip registration. I know where all my pups belong.

I still can’t believe this beautiful boy is still here!
AKC triple clear 18 weeks old. UTD on shots deworming and he is microchipped!
Cutter is full of personality!! He is the sweetest boy and is very smart. He is doing great with crate training. Doing well on leash training. Loves to play with toys and chase after his human for sure❤️

These beautiful potatoes are still looking for their forever homes.
AKC triple clear 15 weeks old.
UTD on shots and deworming and microchipped.
Crate training started 2 1/2 weeks ago both took to it well and sleeping through the night.

KENNEL TRAINING your puppies/dogs is NOT cruel - its a crucial part of training and needs to be done properly to be effective.

The comparison is like a crib to a baby....

We seem to be in a world now where you can't say "no", you can't discipline, you can't make anyone/being feel bad... I expect I may lose "followers" over this - but here it is...

Proper kennel training means the dogs are HAPPY to go into their kennels and HAPPY to be in them. Proper kennel training means that the dogs know it's their safe place, their quiet place and their place to "turn off"...

In our home, we kennel the dogs when:
- strangers (deemed to be safe) come over.
- the dogs have medical situations requiring limited exercise.
- bedtime - we all go to sleep at night in our own beds (but that's our choice).
- large family gatherings where we can't supervise how are dogs are interacting with everyone (and vice versa). Please note - they are allowed multiple out times when we can supervise with full attention.
- when we have to go out and can't take them with us. THIS seems to be the controversial one... We do this because we don't want to come home to a torn up couch or any other damage which can lead to a vet visit or death from obstruction. When they're kenneled, they chill. Course they have a very large playyard that they enjoy during the day to get some energy out as well.

But also know, having them properly kennel trained would make it far less stressful FOR THEM should we have to:
- evacuate for any reason.
- stay in a hotel (we bring their beds).
- vet them over night.

All my dogs have been kennel trained. They happily load up when asked and they enjoy their own tv when they are stuck inside due to inclement weather or bedtime. I'm not ashamed of it, nor will I ever be. If it doesn't work for you - so be it, but don't try to shame others for your lack of understanding or inability to train properly. There - I said that also!
