2) Gather vaccination records
3) Create an account for your pup (details during phone interview
4) Set trial date & you’re ready to go!

Please share to spread the word about Leo! He’s been looking for his forever home WAY too long. He’s a goofy, affectionate puppy in a adult dog body but unfortunately can’t be with cats or small dogs due to his high prey drive. He’s kennel trained and NOT destruction, he’s often found sleeping in “his” bedroom and he’s never chewed up any of my belongings. He has SO much potential and I know someone out there is looking for a boy just like him! If you’re interested DM me or apply through his rescue 🐾

HEADS UP: Unfortunately, we found poison hemlock in the Ft. Steilacoom Dog Park. In order to protect you and your furry friends we have to close the Dog Park next Wednesday, May 17, and Thursday, May 18 to remove it.

Spread the word! My man, Leo, is looking for a couch to crash on from May 10-15th while I’m out of town! Here are the things you need to know if you’re wanting to potentially become his new best friend.
1. He is very VERY cute. The typa face that’ll make you forget any transgression he may have made. Truly adorable.
2. His love language is physical touch, quality time takes a close second. This boy wants a person that he can enthusiastically meet when they get home and cuddle with at night.
3. He has a very particular fascination will all critters small and because of that, he would not be the ideal roomie for any small animals. But a temp foster could be managed with the right family.
4. He is VERY excited by the idea of meeting other dogs. He is great around them at first but gets quickly excited and goes overboard so he would be an ideal only pet.
5. He’s got the BEST sense of humor, this guy will keep you laughing all day long, he not only has the best parkour moves in the PNW but he’s also quite chatty when playful.
6. Even though he is always happy to tell you how much he loves you and chat with you, he is not loud or disruptive when he is alone or kenneled.
7. This boy is .independent he can be alone for a full day of work. Either kenneled for some snoozing or free roaming in his own space, he is super respectful of your stuff and not destructive at all!
8. His hair is better than yours. And mine, don’t feel bad. It requires brushing and if it isn’t kept up, it can accumulate quickly due to the spring season blow out!
All in all, he is a GOOFY boy who will make someone very very happy. He’s had a rough go at it and I would love to find him a temporary foster who would potentially be open to adopting while I’m gone May 10-15. If you aren’t able to adopt but have a extra room and want to help keep him out of a kennel facility your help would be greatly appreciated. If that’s not possible for you, please share this to spread the word about this wonderful boy! His perfect home is out there waiting for him 🐾

We’ve had quite a few new dogs trial for boarding! 🐾Not many people can say they get to have sleepovers with dogs for a job but I gotta say, it is the BEST! ❤️

Sir Leo came for a trial to see if he’d be a good match for fostering with us!
Here’s are a few ways I prepared:
1.) started with a romp around the yard to go potty
2.) set up several cozy spots for him to go to and decompress away from me or other pups
3.) put some management plans up (baby gate and ex-pen)
4.) prepped some kongs for some self soothing exercises while he adjusts
5.) made sure my pups were well exercised and tired so that they wouldn’t be too excited by his arrival and could handle separation.
6.) bonded with some treats and games
I won’t be introducing him to the girls for a day or two, maybe longer. He’s dog friendly but this is a big adjustment and letting them co-exist without requiring they interact will make a big difference in their relationship and alleviate some of the stress of introductions.

She’s almost 2, she’s very energetic, scared of people at first but warms up and good with all animals she’s met. She needs work on her manners but a quick learner.
