Between 05/26/2024 and 06/03/2024 we have had 5 litters of rats born here at Cherokee Flats. That's a total of 49 little jelly beans that will be available to purchase in 4-6 weeks with pick ups between 07/21/2024 - 07/29/2024

We have had 4 litters of rats born over the past 5 days. I have one more female that is due. As of now, we have 44 babies!!!

My rat babies go fast, once I have them listed on our website as available for purchase (usually around 4 weeks old) they will be gone quick.

Midnight x Binky had babies this morning... 15 little jellybeans. Mama has been separated for a couple days so that she can deliver her babies and will have the next 2 weeks to bond with them before being added back to the main cage.

Just got the flag put up!

Nobody can ever say we aren't patriotic that's for sure.

Red, White and Blue house, with a beautiful flag.

Now, to get the other 2 doors done and get some new windows and hopefully, add a 4 seasons room with a wrap around porch... ugh.. someone needs to win the lottery and give me some.

Look who just turned 2!!!! She's been with me for 2 years now. I got her as a sling... she was the size of a quarter and now she's 4.5" across!!!!!

Day 1 complete!!!

We have 7 rabbits and 4 breeds at the IRBA Spring Show this weekend.

Shows A-B are complete!

We had a great time and go back tomorrow for Show C.

On the way home we stopped at Austin’s to visit with him and Skylar and have supper with them.

Now, home and all critters are fed, watered, walked, and snuggled!!

Bed early and back at it tomorrow.

Yesterday, Brian and I became grandparents.

Austin adopted this beautiful girl. Her name is Skylar and she’s an Alaskan Klee Kai.

She is the sweetest little girl.

So we now have a Granddogter!!

We will be CLOSED from 10/21/2023 - 11/01/2023 to self quarantine due to COVID-19. Please be aware that all messages, text, email, and phone calls will be answered AFTER November 1.

We will implement sanitation and disinfectant protocols to ensure the farm is GERM and COVID free before allowing anyone to visit.

Central Illinois is under a Winter Storm Warning from 6:00 am Thursday until 6:00 am Saturday (CDT). Please be aware that during these major storms, it is highly possible we will lose power. This will mean that we will be unable to answer calls or messages until power is restored.

In total, we had 61 babies born between 09/22 - 09/24

We are still waiting on Fifi and Piggy

Pricing wont be done until they are 6 weeks old.

Deposits will be taken starting at 6 weeks of age (November 3, 2022)

All babies will be sold in PAIRS or more ONLY (no singles) and must have a signed adoption contract and full payment on file before a pick-up date will be scheduled.

ALL appointments will be made on Saturdays and Sundays according to our schedule. ANYONE that reserves babies and does not show up will forfeit all money sent to us and will not be allowed to adopt from us again (no matter what animal they are wanting)

Prices for rats will be between $15.00 - $45.00 depending on color, coat type and ear type. Please be aware that these prices can change as the need fits and as costs of raising them continue to go up.

ALL pets come with a written certificate from Me stating that at the time they left Cherokee Flats, there were no known defects, physical or otherwise and the adopter understands that we are not held responsible for any illnesses, defects or the like, once the animals have left our farm.

Nebulous has begun labor and we are still waiting on Lily Rose, Fifi, and Piggy
