So many take puppies out to yard - I've had people question me as to why I don't - fun fact many other animals can carry and spread parvo. My pups do not go on ground until after six weeks and two parvo vaccines. Northern Michigan has recently had high cases of parvo and we are also on a strict cleaning and bio control for safety.

There is a dog illness in northern Michigan with symptoms similar to parvo. The Michigan State vet is investigating this and recommended all dogs have current vaccine and that dogs who are ill be isolated at home. If your puppy has not completed it's puppy vaccines do not take them anywhere! We began strict bio clean protocol here last week. All visitors must remain in vehicle until they can have their shoes disinfected. Please call before visiting all visits are by appointment only! We will be doing puppy visits on a limited basis until more information is known. All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines and well here and we intend to keep it that way.

BREAKING NEWS!

By super majority decision, the color black has been voted to be included as an acceptable color in the breed standard. Starting January 1, 2023, the color black will be allowed to show in conformation.

Also, in the same ballot, the Constitution and By Laws changes were approved. That change will allow us to ballot via email. Stay tuned for updates on how we implement that! We need to do some research.
