* River Street at Center St (limited access to church via Prospect)

Some suggest putting their litter box outside to help them find their way back home, but this can attract neighborhood cats and wildlife, potentially driving your cat further away. Instead, try sitting near the escape point with an open can of food (like tuna or chicken) to entice them back. Cats tend to hide close by and may be watching you.

Ensure your cat has proper identification, such as a microchip or a collar with your contact information. If found and taken to a shelter, they’ll likely be scanned for a chip, increasing the chances of a reunion.

Searching for a lost cat (or dog) can be stressful. Stay calm and try to see things from their perspective.

As a dog owner and professional dog walker, I have encountered a wide range of dog walking equipment. With numerous options available, selecting the best one for you and your dog can be challenging. It is crucial to ensure that each dog is properly fitted and comfortable with their walking equipment. Today, I will highlight the equipment I prefer when walking dogs. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them in the comments.

Did you know it is recommended to have one more litter box than the number of cats in your home? For instance, if you have two cats, you should have three litter boxes. Additionally, ensure they are scooped daily. Stay tuned for more tips!

Living with a diabetic pet? I can help assist you in creating a health plan tailored to your cat or dog’s needs!

Just like in people, our canine friends can experience allergic reactions. Whether it’s from food, insect bites, or environmental, having Benadryl (Diphenhydramine 25 mg) on hand can be lifesaving. However, it is important that you speak with your veterinarian before administering any medication to your dog. Dosage can vary based on your dog’s weight and condition. A typical recommended dose of Benadryl is 1 mg per pound of body weight. While generally safe, dogs may experience side effects such as dry mouth and drowsiness. Always monitor your pup after administering Benadryl and contact your vet with any questions or concerns.

Hydrogen Peroxide (3 %) is a useful first aid antiseptic that every dog parent should have on hand. Should he/she eat something that they shouldn’t, your vet might have you induce vomiting before going to the clinic. A typical dose is 0.5-1.0 mL per pound for dogs-always check with your vet first before administering. *DO NOT GIVE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE TO CATS. CALL YOUR VETERINARIAN IMMEDIATELY. Pet Poison Helpline: https://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/pet-tips/why-you-should-not-induce-vomiting-in-cats/

Our pets are beloved family members and play an important role in our lives. They eagerly lend a paw to help us feel better during sad times and jump at the chance to go to the park! For many, our pets are considered our kids and we want the best for them. However this might pose a challenge when we have to juggle work, family emergencies, and vacations.

Do you find yourself working long hours at the office and can't make it home on your lunch hour to let your dog out to relieve themselves? Are you planning a summer vacation and don't feel comfortable boarding your dog? Maybe you recently got injured or are about to have a medical procedure and you will need assistance caring for your cat while you recover. Kat and Dogs Ohio (KADO) is available to help you!!!

Kat and Dogs Ohio has been providing in home pet sitting since 2013. Services range from daily visits to relaxing neighborhood walks, and are available for clients who live in Eastlake, Kirtland, Wickliffe, Willowick, Willoughby Hills, and Willoughby. As a pet owner myself, the health and safety of everyone is a top priority. That is why Kat and Dogs Ohio is insured, bonded, and certified in Pet CPR and First Aid.

For all new clients, I offer a free consult prior to scheduling services where I come to your home, meet you and your pets, assess their needs, and tailor a schedule that will work for everyone involved.
