Started this little 3 year old last week, he’s been a lot of fun so far and is coming along nicely!

I am helping a client down size her heard due to a family health issue. So all three horses need to go ASAP.

All three horse are very good natured and friendly! They have all pretty much just been hay burners their whole life. They like to be petted on and love to be around kids, but they have never truly been worked with.

The big red was broke to ride about 7 years ago, but has not been messed with since, until I started a couple of weeks ago. I have put about five hours on this horse and got it to lead well, stand for the saddle, & pick up all four feet. He will let you ride bare back some and will stand for you to get on, but is very lazy and doesn’t want to move once your on him.

The red and white is broke to lead and is pretty good with ground work, but has never been ridden. Will lift all four feet and stands tied okay.

The white one is a AQHA papered mare, but has never really been worked with. You can get a halter on her, but once you have it on her she won’t move her feet.

Looking for a project horse. $500-$1000 price range. Would like it to be probably 3 or younger, halter broke or not started at all. Not looking for someone’s else’s problem horse! Just a young horse that you don’t have time for and would like to get rid of. What do y’all have?

Riding the creek beds is a great way to get a horse used to uneven terrain. It also makes for some great views!

We finally got a halter on peaches! It may have taken 5 hours worth of work/trust building but it happened!

Starting another 11 year old for the same client that owns Reno.
Normally I don’t start horses this old but made an exception for this family to try and help them out.
It has definitely been an interesting leaning experience and had to do a few things differently than I normally would to accomplish the goal. I think we will have a couple great horses when we are done though!

Well we have our work cut out for us on this one! Reno is an 11 year old that has never been worked with before. Today was the first time he has ever been in a round pin or even had a halter on! Let’s see what 60 days gets us with him.

Starting a 6 year old sale barn find named buck. When we bought him he was badly broke to lead. After about 3 hours of working we have a saddle on him and he’s learning to neck rain.
