Glenny is a Certified Pet Stylist graduate from the Academy of Animal Arts in Largo, Florida where she was acknowledged for her outstanding skills and styling in grooming. Glenny started her career in dog grooming as a salon dog bather in March 2016, and was promoted to Pet Stylist upon certification. Throughout her grooming career, Glenny continues her education by attending d

og shows, and seminars to keep sharpening her skills, as grooming trends and styles are always changing. Glenny has always had a passion for working with animals, and worked a few years as a veterinary technician at the AEC Emergency Animal Clinic in Miami, FL, where she gained skills in handling puppies, geriatric, and dogs in delicate health. She believes it is imperative to have a great deal of trust and patience when working with animals, as it is to effectively read a dog's body language. Glenny takes great pride in her work and has a "Quality over Quantity" grooming philosophy, she believes her work is an art and your dog is not just a paycheck.

As your groomer it is my pleasure and my responsibility to not only make your pup look and feel like a top dog, but to rest assured that your dog has the most calming, positive, and fun grooming experience during his/her visit with me. I truly believe in positive energy, and as you may already know, dogs communicate with us through body language and energy (and trust me when I say that they read our energy better than we will ever read theirs). It is important for me to build a relationship with both you and your dog, as supposed to just putting them on my table and getting them groomed and done asap. I work fast and efficiently, but I also want your pets to remember this is a fun and safe place when they sniff their way in my direction. Some dogs are naturally nervous and scared, and for this I posses professional training and skills that allow me to ease your dog into grooming procedures each and every time they come in. I also provide you, pet parents, with tips and exercises to practice at home, to help speed up the learning process for my fury clients. Some of the main obstacles some dogs, and puppies being introduced to grooming have are the following: tolerating the loudness/pressure of blow driers, the touching/brushing, trimming or grinding of nails with dremels, even being sprayed with water. I have met dogs that do not get over certain obstacles no matter what training or positive techniques are tried, but giving up on you and your pup will not be my first choice. I love what I do and I welcome you to my grooming studio where I will only provide you with genuine care, professionalism, and most importantly love, patience, and compassion for your pets as if they were my own. The two handsome boys with me in the picture below are my 11 year old miniature pinscher, Rico and my precious 3 year old border collie/aussie, Kai. Both have extraordinary personalities, and have me wrapped around their doggie toes, and I could not live without them.

Lets hop out of bed and make today beautiful! The blue moon last night must have done something because I am feeling like a spring chicken ready to take on anything and cross that road with no fear.
I’ll be at the shop today greeting all of you for your pups’ grooming appointment.
I know I am not at the salon as often as I would like, but the good news is that I am feeling better. However, my situation is permanent. I do have many physical limitations, which is why I have not been grooming. I have groomed some doggies here and there and when I have my back has regressed.
I am so grateful for all of you and your understanding, for the opportunity I was gifted to be put in a great doctors’ hands, for the time I’ve been granted to continue to heal and to be able to continue to do what I love even if it’s not 💯 how I’d like.
Remember if I don’t carry or bend over to greet your doggy is because I can’t. I do however, lay on the floor with them eventually and love away 🤣♥️

A matted coat is not a good look on you or your pup. That’s the whole top of a pups’ matted back in one solid knotted piece after being shaved- no way a comp or brush would go through without hurting the pup. Lets not mention what that skin feels like under the matting, itchy, irritated, hot to mention a few symptoms that we can prevent a pup from suffering by keeping them under a strict hair maintenance grooming routine.

Call us now and book your monthly appointments (atleast every 3-4 weeks). “But my dog isn’t long enough yet!” Even if your pup is not ready for a full haircut, we do and recommend Mini Grooms. A mini groom consists of a bath, conditioning, brushing, and light trimming of feet, sanitary area, and face. You can schedule mini grooms until your pup is ready for a full haircut, that way the hair is still getting the proper care it needs and by the time you schedule your full groom your pup does not need to be shaved. Because we do what’s best for our pups, dematting severely matted coat is not done.

Due to Miss Debby taking her time through tomorrow Monday 5th, all of our pups have been rescheduled in order to keep everyone safe at home during the storm.
Grooming pups during a storm adds to their stress and anxiety, we run the risk of loosing power and everyone’s safety is always our main concern.

How much do you dedicate to attention to detail?

We pride ourselves in making grooming a pleasant experience for all dogs. This means we have to constantly pay attention and understand a pups behavior, body language, and communication in order to respond with positive handling that’s effective to calm the pet.

We also value Quality vs Quantity, which yields a positive environment for the pups. We are artists molding your pups into pretty forms and styles; attention to detail is essential.
Just when we think we are done with the finishing touches there’s that one piece of hair nobody will see (but you see it) that we have to perfect. And just when we think we have a master piece we always look at our pictures because there’s a magic camera in there that helps us see the hairs we can’t see with a naked eye….im joking, but for some reason it does.

The reason why this hits home is because my grooming career started at Royal Pets back in 2016 and I have a lot to be grateful for because of RP. Long story short, I did the college thing, worked corporate careers but art and animals always called my name since I was a little girl. I decided to leave Miami, move to Clearwater and Royal Pets was the place that gave me the opportunity to embark into the grooming world with no experience- they believed in me, I was hired as a bather and during that time I learned from amazing groomers who are still my friends. I loved the trade even more so I went to grooming school in Largo and then was promoted to a Dog Grooming position at Royal Pets again after graduation ❤️ Throughout the years I learned so much from that place and it is part of my journey and a foundation of where I am today with my own dog grooming salon in Dunedin on Main Street. Everything I learned has led to my salon becoming an award winning salon where me and my beautiful girls/groomers Kelly and Melanie specialize in puppies and pets with anxiety. I truly believe in positive energy, and as you may already know, dogs communicate with us through body language and energy (and trust me when I say that they read our energy better than we will ever read theirs). It is important for me to build a relationship with both you and your dog, as supposed to just putting them on my table and getting them out asap.

I work fast and efficiently, but I also want your pets to remember this is a fun and safe place when they sniff their way in my direction. Some dogs are naturally nervous and scared, and for this I posses professional training and skills that allow me to ease your dog into grooming procedures each and every time they come in. I also provide you, pet parents, with tips and exercises to practice at home, to help speed up the learning process for my fury clients.

Some of the main obstacles some dogs, and puppies being introduced to grooming have are: tolerating the loudness/pressure of blow driers, the touching, trimming or grinding of nails with dremels, even being sprayed with water. I have met dogs that do not get over certain obstacles no matter what we try, but giving up on you and your pup will not be my first choice.

I love what I do and I welcome you to my salon where I will only provide you with genuine care, professionalism, and most importantly love for your pets as if they were my own. The two handsome boys with me in the picture below are my 11 year old miniature pinscher, Rico and my precious 3 year old border collie/aussie, Kai. Both have extraordinary personalities, and have me wrapped around their doggie toes, and I could not live without them.
