We also provide mobile grooming services, bringing professional groomers to your front door for pets in Lake and Porter Counties in northwestern Indiana. Since 2009, Smoochie Pooch has employed and trained some of the industry’s top dog groomers. Our apprentice program is top-notch for those lo

oking to get started in the industry, and features hands-on training to become a professional dog groomer from nationally certified instructors. In addition to providing exceptional grooming services, we also pay special attention to the health of your pet’s skin and coat. Our team is trained in animal behavior and grooming techniques specific to a wide variety of breeds. We also ensure our groomers are up-to-date with first aid and CPR techniques for the safety of the pets in our care.

Glenny is a Certified Pet Stylist graduate from the Academy of Animal Arts in Largo, Florida where she was acknowledged for her outstanding skills and styling in grooming. Glenny started her career in dog grooming as a salon bather in March 2016, and was promoted to Pet Stylist upon certification. Throughout her grooming career, Glenny continues her education by attending dog shows, and seminars to keep sharpening her skills, as grooming trends and styles are always changing.

Glenny has always had a passion for working with animals, and worked a few years as a veterinary technician, where she gained skills in handling puppies, geriatric, and dogs in delicate health. She believes it is imperative to have a great deal of trust and patience when working with animals, as it is to effectively read a dog's body language. Glenny takes great pride in her work and has a "Quality over Quantity" grooming philosophy, she believes her work is an art and your dog is not just a paycheck.

After working for other companies , Glenny is thankful for the opportunities she has had to grow as a dog groomer, but also for the insight she has obtained about the industry. Noticing and taking note of everything the industry may lack, need, and could use, Glenny’s plan is to create a dog grooming business that stands out from the rest providing only transparency, safety, and what is best not only for the pets, but for pet parents as well.
