Why is it super important to get your dogs nails trimmed regularly?? Over grown nails can cause balance issues, pain, deformities, and make a dog age faster. The nail is sold (and not flexible) so when it gets too long the toe has to actually bend sideways in order to make room for the nail causing strain on tendons, ligaments, and joints in your dogs feet and legs. I recommend nail trims at least every 6 weeks, more often if your dog is not active or doesn’t have daily walks outside on hard surfaces or “mostly an inside dog”. - Jennifer K Miller

Sickness has hit our house hard! I’ll have to reschedule everyone and will contact you soon. Thank you in advance for understanding and I’m super sorry this may mess up your schedules for the next 4 weeks. Whatever yuck is out there we have it all and it’s best we stay away from everyone.

It feels like -9° out there peeps, yall ok? Please go break the ice on animal water troughs/buckets/bowls and make sure your animals are safe. Stay home if you can at all possibly do so. Hopefully the roads will be clearing a bit today as I believe crews did some pre-deicing earlier in the week and are trying to get some more done. I’m seeing reports of roll-overs and cars sliding sideways AS THEY ARE driving down the roads. I better check on the bus to make sure things didn’t freeze!!! Brb

Even if we don’t get lots of snow it’s still going to be cold coming soon. Please take time now to make sure your animals have a warm dry safe place to shelter. Here is a an option for you might want to do: little houses. Wally World has some Christmas colored totes on clearance. Use straw NOT TOWELS OR BLANKETS because those get wet and hold the moisture which can freeze the animal.

Check on your human friends and family too: no generators running in-doors, don’t use the gas stove to stay warm, put towels under doors to keep out drafts. - Jennifer

2025 out of the gate has a completely full schedule in all my service areas WAAAAHOOOOO!!!! Thank you Nw Oklahoma!!!

Saturday driveway grooming at my house in Woodward is wildly popular and we’re starting to book into February already. This is for smooth coated short-hair dogs under 70lbs ONLY (not for any dogs that require brushing or hair trims of ANY kind like husky, shihtzu, poodle/poodle mixes, Akita, golden retriever, Maltese, etc). Text me ASAP if you need a Saturday driveway appointment.

As we all know though, things can always change: someone moves, I have to only work on lighter weight dogs, a sweet pupporino crosses the rainbow bridge, or I’m not needed anymore (gasp!). So please keep in touch with me if you are serious about getting on the mobile schedule. I will have to evaluate who I might be able to get in IF a spot opens up and I promise I do the very best I can.

I serve the Woodward area but also go to Laverne, Mooreland, Vici, Arnett, Buffalo, Shattuck, and Leedey.

SIT! STAY!! I’ll come to you 😊🐾✂️🚐🐶🐩🐕💦🛁🤍

It’s time to say goodbye to 2024. I hope you’ve had a good year and can celebrate some successes!! Things like making a friend date to have coffee one morning, watching the sun rise or set, being able to pay your bills or pay-off a debt, getting to hug your dog, or even starting a new book to read. This will make my seventh full year in business (started January 2018) and as much as I’m celebrating that fabulousness and thanking ALL OF NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA FOR YOUR AMAZING SUPPORT… to be honest, this was a tough year for me. I had some regular things that seem to happen in a solo-employee small business like health and family issues and the bus breaking down. But my biggest hurdle was losing my sweet Dayzee Bair.

For the past couple of years, I try to leave my last post of the year to dedicate to all the wonderful dogs I had to say good bye to over the last 12 months. And although I knew it would happen at some point, I just wasn’t prepared to include my own dog in the list.

Nothing in my dog grooming education prepared me for the grief I would feel losing a dog I groomed or their owner. Though they are not my dog nor my blood family, I feel the loss from head to toe. I am always terribly sad to get that phone call or text saying Angel passed in the night, that Jack’s heart couldn’t keep him going anymore, precious Preslee was just too tired, that Roxanne had a large inoperable mass, it was Sally’s time, or that Molly got really sick, that Bullwinkle kept getting worse, Milli wasn’t able to make it passed Christmas, and Fancy couldn’t go on any longer. Or the personal visit to tell me that I wouldn’t get to see Tank again and that Dayzee was hurting way too much. I cry and I hurt and cry some more knowing I had the honor of working with an angel whether it was for just a few grooms or 7 years worth. I am SO blessed and thankful I got to be part of their life even for just an hour every 4 weeks or so.

Any of you who have lost a dear pet (who was your friend, walking partner, guardian, goof-ball partner, confidant, or master couch potato) know how much it hurts.

I miss Dayzee every day and it still hurts a ton and I kind of hope I always do hurt a little so I know I have proof she lived. Sometimes though it hits me really hard and I have to take a minute or two to lay down on my bus floor and cry. That’s when I get the best cuddles from my doggie clients. They take a rare moment to cross the canine-human gap to remind me how much love there is still to give. So I continue the business, which I named after Dayzee, doing my absolute best to give the dogs that I serve the greatest grooming experience possible. She would’ve wanted me to.

I believe I will ALWAYS get deeply attached to the dogs I get to groom. Maybe it’s a dog groomer thing or maybe it’s just me. And I know now I never ever want to change that part of me. So as we drift off into a new year I whisper a quiet and gentle goodbye to my sweet grooming dogs, you did SOOOO good! I thank you for loving me back and I’m so glad Dayzee finally got to meet you after having smelled you on my clothes. See you across the rainbow 🌈🐾🤍 - Jennifer

Thank you Winn-Tech for helping me this morning!!! I woke up yesterday to half the bus “un-electric” and made due with half the lighting and a long extension cord for the hair dryer. Winn-Tech was so fabulous to squeeze me in and got things fixed in a jiffy!! Muchos gracias!!! 🔌⚡️

Dayzee Dog Spa - by appointment only

Mobile Dog Grooming - Call for an appointment 580-273-BARK Offering professional dog grooming services in Woodward and the surrounding area by Jennifer Miller, Certified Groomer.

Enjoyable and healthy dog grooming services AT YOUR HOME! Hi and welcome to the Dayzee Dog Spa! My name is Jennifer Miller and I am a Certified Dog Groomer trained at the Oklahoma Academy of Dog Grooming Arts in Oklahoma City. My goal is to provide a safe, friendly and enjoyable grooming session for your dog in a stress-free environment. I take my time to keep them comfortable. My fully equipped mobile unit comes to your house to groom your dog close to home so there are no more long uncomfortable car rides needed. I groom one-on-one which means your dog is never put in a cage when in my care. My salon on wheels is totally self-contained and has a generator, a/c and heater, fresh warm water, sterilized/clean tools, and high quality, environmentally friendly and biodegradable products made in the U.S.A.

Some benefits to choosing Dayzee Dog Spa: No travel time to-and-from the groomers, no more dirty dogs in your car, less stressful on your dog which makes grooming calming and relaxing, your pet is never unattended waiting in a cage, one-on-one attention, no worrying about interaction with other (potentially aggressive and loud) dogs, and full-service grooming at your home.

A regular grooming schedule is an important part of keeping your dog healthy and happy. Dayzee Dog Spa can make it easier for you to say on top of it.
