Once upon a time in June 2019, I trained this sweet girl at the kennel I was working at. Shortly after that she moved to North Carolina to live it up with her moms. Fast forward to TODAY, I was lucky enough to see her again as she passes through Austin on her way to Cali. It was so rewarding to run with her again after all this time. And kudos to her moms for keeping up with every bit of training that made this hike possible. @ Roy G Guerrero Colorado River Park

Found this rare breed of bat dog
His name is Harley & he’s an 8m/o Heeler. I first met this guy when he was 8 WEEKS and now he’s an adolescent who’s hitting a fear period and not sure where his place in the pack is. We hit the trails this past week & with constant feedback he fell right into line with me. Next week it’s time to train the humans 😏

Wilson, the 12y/o Cocker Spaniel. Was a grumpy old man when I met him but over the year we had, he opened up and showed me the sweetest love with the smelliest kisses. You know a good boy when you see one 💙

Meet Gracie Loo, the 6m/o Frenchie. She’s picked up some leash reactivity to people & dogs, and hasn’t gotten the whole potty training thing down with her hooman. So we’re taking this week to whip her into shape 💪

The more boundaries, rules and expectations you give your dog...the more freedom they earn too.

No extra tools except our verbal cues and an occasional food reward. This freedom takes a lot of work, over a lengthy span of time, with hundreds of reps put in, but it is SO worth it.

Meet Scout, the 3 m/o Yellow Lab. Puppies this young are in the critical learning period and are very impressionable so it’s the best time to start training! I’ll be visiting him 2x/week to build a solid foundation with basic obedience, structure/boundaries & leadership. @ Cedar Creek, Texas

Meet Lucy, the 12 y/o Hound. She’s been attending daycare her entire life but recently decided she would rather go on long strolls around the neighborhood so she can partake in all the great smells around Austin. Did you know Hounds can have up to 300 million scent receptors?
