Another first for us, captive bred true Emperor Scorpions!! We work with true Emperors and Congos, and have found that true Emporers are the most docile scorpion that we’ve experienced. We hold ours (hold at your own risk!!), and even with babies on her back, when cleaning her aquarium and accidentally bumping her from time to time, she’s never offered to sting.

After losing one of our male lavender breeders to an impaction issue, we decided to replace the Aspen shavings with a different substrate. So now we try a h**p bedding. :)

Super late post (this was taken at the Herps New Orleans show the end of September) but totally not forgotten!
I’m loving this guys interest in miss Rosea!! Such a sweet boy full of curiosity! Love, love, love it!!

This was taken with permission from the parents, who were explained the risks of handling T’s, and I’d NEVER put something I thought was dangerous in the hands of anyone, especially a child. ❤️

For all you breeders, do you remember your first “planned” clutch? You know, when you bought 2 snakes with specific genes with the goal of producing a specific combo or combos? Well this is Mr Z’s (Chris’s) first specific pairing (he was a little late joining in the fun with Mrs Z (Jaymie) and the little Z’s), waiting ever so patiently for him to back home from a 4 day out of town work trip. I’m super excited for him, and so glad he will likely get to see them pipping!
They’ve been dented in for a few days, who thinks they will wait until until he gets home tomorrow after 3 to pip?? Fingers crossed!!☺️
