Who's with me? If you are why? And if not why not?
Ruston Animal Control is an organization that often gets overlooked due to the fast pace, funding & workload.
They try their very best on a daily basis with extremely limited support, supplies and staff. They need help from the community just as much as any other shelter!
They need a team of animal lovers to dedicate some volunteered time at the shelter & in the community. They need adopters, foster homes & help with dogs that have already been picked up.

Honey and Cinnamon are our dogs of the week. Both are 8-12 month old females. Both will remain small in the 25-30lb range. They love to play outdoors and get along great with other animals. PLEASE SHARE. Honey is on the left. Cinnamon is on the right.

We're building a cat condo outside so the cats can enjoy the outdoors safely.
We have already lost two of our neutered males to coyotes so the condo was 100% necessary!
It's almost built 😃 BUT we have used ALL DONATED MATERIALS apart from a few cans of bought spray foam.
However we are looking for some items to keep them occupied, such as cat trees, toys, beds/bedding etc....
If you have any spare cat stuff laying around we would greatly appreciate it.
We have kittens too that we are trying to keep extra safe, unfortunately it was their daddy who was caught by a coyote because he was white and less camouflaged than the rest.

Looking for someone to work with in Ruston that's actually QUALIFIED WITH AN IN DATE CERTIFICATE in animal behavior & management. I contacted a few city officials for help & they told me:
"Qualifications/Experience is not a job requirement when working with animals within city limits"
So on that none shocking note...I was wondering if there's anyone hidden in the shadows that's actually got credentials to be considered an "expert" in a court of law & not just been appointed responsibility.
Please message me if you have the relevant qualifications and willing to donate some time.

There's a lady who contacted me this morning, she has taken in 4 stray dogs & a couple of mother cats with kittens from the Ruston area.
Ruston Stray Animal Volunteers. Has helped provide food, wormer and crates. Although we still need flea treatment quite badly. There's an infestation in her home and she doesn't have the funds to cover that. The animals are otherwise healthy and taken care of, the only other option she has is to hand them over to a shelter but it's a slim possibility at the moment with how full everyone is.
If anyone can help with flea collars, spot on, powder, sprays etc that would be greatly appreciated. It's the only thing I can't cover for them at the moment.
