We got together for a Pre Holiday Party this evening. It is so fun to get together outside of the barn, and to meet family members that we hear about but rarely see. A huge thank you to Julie for opening her beautiful home to us, and to everyone who brought food that makes them think of the holidays. Everything was delicious! I already can’t wait until we have another get together. 😊🐴🎄🦃

Rosaleigh & Hawkeye and Charli & Avie participated in the Costume Class in today’s Sierra Nevada Autumn Classic Dressage Show at Franktown Meadows. It was super fun to see everyone’s creative costumes. 🥰 As always, a huge thank you to our Sierra Nevada dressage chapter for putting on a great show, and to all of the wonderful volunteers who make it happen. :)

Today is a long awaited day for Snowday. After years of kicking around the idea, Snowday is having the opportunity to try out for the position of a therapeutic riding horse. He is moving to their facility for a 45 day trial with Stella’s oversight. Stella has been volunteering there for years. If all goes well - he enjoys the job and the riders enjoy him - it will be his new permanent gig. This will be a big step up in horse care for Stella as she will be the one overseeing his entire schedule. I wish them both success and fun in this adventure!!

The horses are all working so well - and that is largely thanks to my wonderful students who ride with care and thoughtfulness at all levels of ability. This makes the horses feel safe and heard whether being piloted by someone just learning to steer, or an advanced rider. 😊🐴😊
