This little guy has So. Much. Hair! Glad to get him cleaned up, clipped, and his hair is silky soft now. What a little cutie!

Ready for this snow and cold to be gone. Salty has decided he identifies as a pinto and there's too much hair to get him dry, even with a blow dryer!

It's been a good weekend. Forgot to take many pictures, but we had fun. 12+ hour days are harsh, but so fulfilling. During the clipping photos, so fun!

I used to get annoyed at people for arguing with me over what color my little Smokey-Joe was at horse shows. However, I have started prepping for show season due to his skin conditions in the past, and so shaved him. Half way through, I took a picture because the difference in his coloring is so dramatic.

It's amazing what a bath and drying can do to improve health and happiness in our kiddos.

(He is kept blanketed and in a heated barn when he's shaved. He hates being warm and so removes the blanket every chance he gets. This was bath day.)

I've got a new oil combo mixed and ready to try on the gypsy!! It smells so much better than MTG and I'm excited to see how it improves the health of his feathers!

Mineral oil base with lavender, peppermint and clove oils. And it's in a spray bottle so my hands won't smell either!

Did you know that during the winter you can still clip working horses, and it will help with sweat management while making it easier to keep their cinch lines clean?

Someone needs a bath.... Again.

I've started using baby shampoo on the faces of my horses who struggle with face washing. This keeps their eyes safe, as well as giving the added bonus of smelling like a clean baby when you smell their faces.

What, don't say you've never smelled YOUR horse's face before.....

PSA: Ticks are gross. Please check your horses for them. I've seen many ticks this year, and they are unpleasant to deal with.

I'm pretty excited about this job. There was no clipping involved, but sooooooo much hair. Her mane is so soft and manageable again, and her tail was able to (barely) fit in a tail bag.

Her feathers are soft and silky. She's such a gentle giant. Possibly my favorite horse to pamper.

What do I love about grooming? I love to watch an owners face light up when they see their horse clean, smelling nice and looking sleek. I love to see the delight a days work can bring. But most of all, I love getting to know these awesome creatures and the people who love them. I am so blessed to be trusted to help these creatures live their lives to the fullest.

Washed two stinky boys yesterday. I love my new dryer! It takes 1/2 the time to dry a horse as the old one I used!

I got my brand new blow dryer! The cats and dog do not appreciate it though... So I'll be at the barn this weekend scrubbing and drying ponies!
