Forgot to post earlier last week that I had 4 out of 7 does kindle. Unfortunately I lost a few kits due to does tearing nests apart and having kits on the wire. I was shelving 2 litters which then lost another kit of 2 so the singleton got fostered to one of my experienced good does and have a first time mother rocking it with a litter or 6. So total kit count is 12 which isn't bad when starting with 14.

Went to the Hamlet night show and man was it hot. 🥵🥵 Took BOB in both shows with Grayamcrackers D6 (still need a name for her) a black sr doe netherland dwarf and showed against myself for Himalayans and finally got competition on the silver martens. It was a long night and now we got some high temperatures to deal with the next few days

Anyone have any interest in a trio of Silver Martens? I really want to keep them but feel like right now just isn't the time to continue pursuing them. And I am definitely not culling them. Of course they are in no rush of leaving but just figured I'd post just in case I could help someone out that was semi local.

Spent the day at the Just For Fun Rabbit Show in Coldwater. Henry's H316H took BOB show A took him just to contribute to the breeds small numbers lately and took BOB and BOS in both shows with the Silver Martens I took I was the only one 🤷‍♀️ Lynch's SEVERETSTORM was one of them. Thank you to Mary and McKenna for letting me add your lines into my barn.

Went through a lot of the jrs yesterday and apparently I am very doe heavy 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I think I have 2 bucks out of 13 so far 😅

Anyone have any interest in a Silver Marten Black Sr Buck? He is a little pinched in the hqs and didn't help with my offspring but is sweet as pie and trying not to take him to the cull truck pm for pictures and any other info.

Ever have that moment where the direction you have been waiting for finally enters your brain and at that moment you go in that direction. Cracking down on does that aren't taking and weeding out the good and the bad qualities of my current Himalayans. I will have a lot more answers after this round of breeding since I now have a very aggressive (breeder) buck that is in the loop now. Also I'm tired of feeding things that aren't helping my program one bit! End of rant/aphinay/crazy rabbit lady thoughts. Thank you and good night. 🙇‍♀️👏

Don't get me wrong these Silver Martens are beautiful but I'm thinking they are not clashing well with me. I have worked with these jrs and they just aren't having it. I'm almost at my wits end I want to keep the breed in my barn but it's not looking good. Not loosing hope yet 🙏

Tomorrow is the first rabbit show in a few years that I am attending and not showing anything. Going to evaluate jr martens with a judge then taking my culls as well. I will be picking up some supplies and trading out a himi buck and also doing a short transport for some fellow rabbit people. Just making an evening of it and going to enjoy myself.

The kindling has started 2 nds had live litters today and currently have a himi doe hard-core nesting tonight. Hopefully will get a few himi litters out of the 5 bred. They all have till Thursday just happy to see more kits 🙏

The other 2 litters are not a fan of me yet. 8 chocolates 1 black and 1 blue for potential convention jrs along with any that come out of this round of kindling 🤞

I didn't take before photos but these are after photos of my bunny barn updates! Just went through and filled trays with clean saw dust and killed the evil amount of earwigs that made their debut. Tomorrow night after the last high heat day for a while I will put everyone back into nice clean cages just in time for them to chill out then 8 does are due in a week. Here's hoping all of this doesn't stress them out too bad 🙏🙏🤞🤞

My rabbit barn is completely done with some upgrades! Got new flooring put in with a vinyl top layer for easier cleaning. Insulation and paneling put in to help with the temperature and all the cages got power washed and look better. I also have room to put 2 more 3 hole stackers in which I already have one so eventually will end up getting another maybe 😅 Rabbits go back in Tuesday night after the last hot day for a while. Hopefully this doesn't stress the does out that are due in over a week but at least everything is clean and got more room to work with.

So really have been thinking lately about these silver martens my whole first litter looks and feels to have pinched hips. I need a new buck and Lynch is a sweetheart so I will attempt to find him a pet home before he goes to the cull truck. I am going to attempt a new breeding with a new buck and if I get all culls again I may take it as a sign that the breed may not be for me plus they are a bit spicy but I am going to keep trying right now and not give up because I love the breed so much already.

Looks like we picked the best day to start doing rabbit barn updates, new flooring with vinyl for easy clean up some insulation to keep it more temperature controlled and everything will be power washed as it's going to be a mid 90 degree day 🥵🥵🥵 so the rabbits will be in the house a few more days so everything is done and safe for them

Yup definitely ready for these guys to go back out in the barn but looks like that won't be till Monday or Tuesday night since my bunny barn is getting some tlc this weekend so cleaning carriers out would be fine if these silver martens weren't p**p machines 😵‍💫

I officially have all the rabbits in the spare room...now feeding and watering is going to be a challenge so glad I put a tarp down cause water goes everywhere 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
