I’m a big believer in sharing the love when it comes to local businesses—especially the ones that have helped me and my pets over the years. If you’re looking for some great pet-related businesses in Windsor area, here are a few I can’t recommend enough:

🐾 Crossroads Animal Hospital – I’ve been with them for years, and they’ve taken incredible care of my pets. What I love most is that they truly listen to pet owners. They trust that we know our pets best, and that kind of partnership means everything.

🐾 Tails Animal Chiropractic Care – We’ve been going here for five years, and the difference it’s made is incredible. After an adjustment, Bentley instantly perks up, grabs a toy, and starts playing and doing his tippy toes— like he just got a brand-new body. Peppermint used to struggle on tile floors, but after adjustments, she could get up with way less effort.

🐾 Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Small Animal Rehab – I honestly credit them for how long Peppermint was able to keep going. She went from needing a stroller just to get into the building to walking a mile a day. After rehab, she even tackled our full staircase one last time—something she hadn’t done in months. They also helped Bentley recover from a rare tendon injury, and once he started improving, he just took off.

🐾 Dolled Up Dogs– I only recently met Mary and Colleen, but you can tell right away that they care. They take their time making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable, and truly make the effort to keep each grooming experience as low stress as possible.

🐾 Big Bones Canine Rescue – They’re an incredible local rescue helping dogs of all sizes find their forever homes.

I always feel weird writing these kinds of posts, but here goes!

I’m Ann. Originally from Minnesota, and I’ve lived in Windsor for 6 years now. I’ve had pets my whole life, from dogs and cats to birds, bunnies, and even a snake. If you can name it, I’ve probably tried to take care of it at some point.

Peppy’s Pet Care is named after my Newfoundland, Peppermint. She lived to be 14 years and 364 days old, and I swear she held on that long because of my commitment to keep her active everyday. She was my heart dog and the reason I started this business. I believe everyone should have as much time as possible with their pets, and that happens through keeping them active.

These days, I have Bentley, my seven-year-old Lab-Pyr mix with a heart condition that doesn’t slow him down one bit; Akua, my almost seven-year-old Staffy who acts like she runs the place; and Douglas, my four-year-old kitty who is convinced he’s a dog. They keep life interesting, that’s for sure.
