Levi is 4 months old, confident, friendly & fun! We don’t know exactly what he is made of but he sure is gorgeous with his merle coat and bright blue eyes! Hope Animal Rescues is an advocate for Spay/Neuter. ALL our adopters who have multiple pets in the home have all of them spayed and neutered. ALL of our volunteers have their pets spayed and Neutered.
Cats who reach maturity can start to spray and mark, same with dogs. If you don't want that smell, fix your pet.
Cats and dogs can roam in search of mating so why end up on lost and found pets pages when it is preventable.
Dominance and territorial aggression can be avoided if the pet is fixed before maturity.
Cancers in females after just one heat cycle like Mammary gland (Breast) can be totally wiped out if you fix your female before maturity.
Testicular cancer in males can totally be avoided by having them fixed before maturity.
Over 6 million unwanted animals are killed (euthanized) in shelters simply because there are too many born to house them all.
So give your beloved cat or dog the best chance possible for a long healthy life by having them fixed as soon as they are of age.

Did you know that mange in foxes and coyotes is directly related to the use of rat poison? The mites that cause mange are a normal part of living in the wild. Normally animals groom themselves to keep the numbers of these mites to a minimum. However, if a fox or coyote consumes a mouse, rat, mole, vole, etc. that has been poisoned by rat poison it makes them ill for 5-7 days, with nausea and vomiting, similar to human "food poisoning". During this illness the animal stops grooming themselves, and the others in their group keep their distance to preserve their own health. When the animal recovers, the damage is done. The mites have become overwhelming in quantity and the mange disease process has begun. Soon the fox/coyote will begin to intensely itch as the mites burrow into tunnels just below the surface of the skin, and spotty hair loss will become noticeable, usually starting at the tail. They also start to become less adept at hunting prey as they become sleep deprived and the mange spreads to the face where it can impact their eyesight. This is the result of a local business, restaurant or new housing development in your area using inconspicuous, black rat poison bait boxes to "control the rodent population". 🥺 There has to be a better way! Thank you dawn for covering him. We had to let him go, he lost HIS battle with CHF. Lungs filled w fluid. Please bear with me. I'm loosing my chco today. He has chf and fluid went to his lungs. We need funds for ashes as all my funds go to the rescue animals. At fcamc in washington
