Happy (hopefully) last snow of the season! From Saint Paddy’s Day (March 17) until Boyne Day (July 12), all new dog waste clients will receive a MONTH of free services when they write “Dia duit” on their contact form at www.failtefarmfungi.org.

We’ll come by your yard on a weekly or biweekly basis and clean it of any and all dog waste. No contact necessary! For more information, feel free to message us or make a comment below and we’ll do our best to answer your questions.

After we finish that, we’ll run over to the Little Squalicum off-leash dog area. We’re up for cleaning the city all weekend, so if you have an area you think needs to be cleaned, let us know! 🍀🍀

Fáilte Farm Fungi now offers a battery pickup service for recyclable batteries!

After asking Bellinghamsters, we have found that the largest barrier to recycling batteries is that the time and gas isn't worth the seemingly meager reward. Since we're running around collecting pet waste, we would be happy to stop by and collect your batteries, as well! A mileage fee applies, but that means it's free for dog waste composting clients 😁

Help save our trees from unnecessary development by joining us in solidarity at the city hall council chambers for this event!

As you may know, we have worked for several months and collected over 1,400 petition signatures to urge the City of Bellingham to require modifications to a proposed 68-unit infill housing development by Stream Real Estate & Development Co. of Seattle. Their maxed-out proposed project would remove 327+ mature 70-90 year old trees (almost all) that exist on-site at the southwest corner of the Bellingham Golf & Country Club along Meridian St..

Revisions we have proposed to the site layout will save many of these trees, yet still provide 60 units of new housing for our community. Unfortunately, other than a few minor recommendations regarding replacement tree planting, COB Planning has recommended approval of the Stream Meridian project without modifications. Now it's up to the City's Hearing Examiner to consider the pros & cons and decide the project's fate.

Please join us -- and encourage others -- to attend the Hearing Examiner session (5pm Wednesday Oct. 11 @ City Hall Council Chambers, 210 Lottie St). You do not need to speak at the session, but raising a hand in the audience in support of what a few lead speakers say would be helpful, as well as wearing green in solidarity. Some signs may be provided to hold as well (or make your own!).
