Are you (or someone you know) looking for a new four legged family member?

A few puppies from Coca's litter are still looking for the perfect homes.

Coca (momma dog) came to me 3 months ago already heavily pregnant, and in a tight spot.

She had 12 lively puppies, who are now 12 weeks old and ready to go.

They've had a great head start on socialization and are confident, social, happy puppies.

We're on puppy watch!

Harley is expecting, and due to deliver in the next two weeks.

You'll be able to watch all of her babes grow up from birth to 10 weeks old.

We provide a thorough socialization program for every puppy, and temperament test them at 7 weeks to give them the best chance of success possible.

Send some good vibes to miss Harley (who truly, is much too young to be a mother 😔) for a safe and easy last stretch!

Look at this mug. 😍

This little lady was found as a stray, and has some icky skin issues going on.

I'm so grateful for the kind humans who helped her out and then brought her to us!

For now we're lovingly calling her "Lady Mama" but name suggestions are welcome!

This girl is due to have puppies in a couple of weeks, and I'm so happy that she gets to have them in a warm and clean space. ♥️

COVID style puppy socialization 101.

Aka ways to socialize your puppy without having to leave your house.

Positive exposure to everyday household objects is often an overlooked part of socialization.

The vacuum cleaner, the blender, the washing machine, trash bags, cupboards shutting, items falling on the floor, etc.

These kiddos are 9 weeks old, and every single day we are challenging them with something new, noisy, strange, or that we otherwise want then to feel comfortable with.

Today their dinner was paired with some household chores, and they learned how to not care about the vacuum cleaner at all.

Start with the vacuum cleaner not running, then running but holding still, then moving just a little bit, then moving all over the place.

Make it a bit harder for your puppy as you go - as long as they are comfortable with it!

I tossed kibble pieces all over the floor for these puppies to vacuum up (😂) while I ran the vacuum cleaner.

Have you socialized your puppy today?

Have you introduced them to something new?

Thankfully, a majority of good socialization does NOT involve meeting new people or taking your puppy to dog parks and exposing them to disease.

All you need are some snacks, some new items, and a fun new experience for them!

7 weeks and 1 day.

That's how long this little guy has been on this earth.

And today he gets to meet and socialize with the chickens!

It's so important for puppies to be exposed to a variety of new situations. And for those experiences to be largely positive.

Even if Berkeley never goes to a home with chicken friends... These experiences will help create environmental stability, and optimism in future experiences. 🐾
