Hello everyone, this is Amelia’s husband. Without going into great details Amelia is having health issues and will not be able to do any grooms for a while. If you have a groom booked with her, you will have to find another groomer at this time. Thank you for understanding.

Before and after on some doodle ears. I clean these suckers out with cleaner and pluck them clean so there’s no hair growing down into the canal. It helps to prevent infections.

Hi all! For the month of September I’m going to be grooming only on Mondays, Tuesdays and every other Friday and Saturday. Keep that in mind when booking! I’m starting a new immunotherapy so I want to give myself some grace in case it’s not a good time.

Just a reminder of things that I haven’t been very good at enforcing. 1-if you bring me your dog and didn’t bring proof of vaccines then you’re going to have to take them back home and bring them a later date with proof of vaccines. And 2-I’m going to be enforcing extra fees that have always been a policy but I’m terrible at charging. One is a matting fee-if your dog is really matted there will be a $10-$40 fee depending on the severity. There also be a special handling fee-if your dog tries to bite me even once this fee will be applied-$10-$40 depending on severity. And of course a flea charge. If your dog has fleas there will be a $20 flea charge to cover a 24 hour flea pill, a flea bath and a cleaning fee to rid my salon of fleas. Unfortunately people have been taking advantage lately (not many) and I have to be a bit of a p**p head about things. Feel free to ask for an estimate and I’ll do my best, but understand that things may change during the groom. I’ll do my best to be transparent and honest. I’ve been giving discounts to people and it’s getting a bit out of hand (my fault) and I’m now going to charge exactly what is on my policy form. I’m currently booking into September so don’t wait till the last minute. Even better, make your dogs next appointment at pickup! I accept cash (my favorite 😆) cards or Venmo. I do not accept checks. Thanks for being amazing clients!

Miss Stella! Last time she came we had to go pretty short but moms been absolutely amazing at keeping on top of her coat so this time she just got a bath and brush and a trim up! We just trimmed around her eyes and did her potty patch and her feet. She’s the sweetest.

Hi friends! So if you take a look at my prices, a bath and brush for dogs over 25 pounds starts at $45. I’ve had to put another small limit on that. That price will be the same unless they’re over 75 pounds then it’ll be $10 more. I love giant breeds, trust me, but they’re a lot of work 😆 these are starting prices, they’ll be more if they’re excessively dirty, matted or difficult.

Sweet clients-I literally have 1 appointment left for the rest of June. I’m taking a much needed vacation with a girlfriend and I’m going to a grooming expo in Ohio that I’m super excited about. That made my schedule fill up fast. I do have some availability for the first week of July. Up till now I’ve worked really hard to squeeze people in when I can but I just can’t do it anymore. I appreciate your understanding and flexibility. At the grooming expo, I’m going to be taking a lot of great classes, including hand stripping (stripping hairs off by hand with a knife, good for show dogs, specifically terriers) and pet first aid (you’d think between my veterinary experience and my EMT cert I’d be good to go but you can never be too prepared 😆.) This month I’m also attending a webinar specifically for…guess what kind……DOODLES! Can’t wait to learn everything I can!

Hi sweet friends! I’ve had a lot of clients lately that want an appointment, like, yesterday. I would really love if people could try to give me 3 weeks to try to get you in. I would also really love if everyone would make their dogs next appointment when they come pick up them up. I have a hard time telling people no and to be completely honest I’m exhausted. I work two days a week at a vet clinic and I’ve been grooming about 4 days a week plus I’m doing cancer treatments as well. I’d like to get that down to grooming three days a week. I really appreciate you and everything you do to help keep your pup happy and healthy!

Trying some new products! As always, let me know if your pup has any skin sensitivities. I have scent and dye free products, as well as shampoos for different skin conditions (I am not a vet so make sure you go see your vet for any skin problems.)

Brother and sister Hayley and Buttons came to see me today! Of course I forgot a before picture, and what a shame because they had a LOT of hair. Miss Haley is completely deaf and Buttons is blind. But that didn’t stop them from being so sweet for me.
