3 big-hearted ladies started on an adventure in Katy of rescuing 33 rabbits released into the neighb Marie Antoinette's Royal Family of Buns.
The stories of a few crazy bunny ladies and the fluffy butts they love

Definitely ME! 😆
Love for Lupin
Update on the bunny found in Hermann Park:
Unfortunately she is not doing very well. She spent Monday at the vet’s office and again today. The wound on the back foot that had maggots has been cleaned and will be ok. She also has intestinal parasites, which have been treated once but will require another dose in two weeks. She is severely malnourished. Her bones protrude. Except for her abdomen which looks grossly inflated due to large amounts of gas. She continues to have diarrhea which is very dangerous for rabbits.
On top of all this, she has something wrong with her front, left leg. It is painful and x-rays revealed a bony lesion. We are waiting for the radiologist’s report but there is a possibility that it is bone cancer.
She is receiving pain meds, antibiotics, and other supportive care measures. For all that is wrong with her physically, she is so sweet. She wants love, she pushes her head under your hand to get petted. She laps her medicines down like a champ.
This bunny deserved so much better than being dumped like a piece of trash. We are doing everything we can to help her and make sure that whether she has day, weeks, or hopefully many years, left, that each day is filled with love.
Her vet bills are already over $900. If anyone could contribute to her care, it would be greatly appreciated. Please click on the link below to donate via PayPal. Thank you!

I have three bunnies spending the night from Louisiana before we cruise up to Bastrop tomorrow for their next gig. 🎶🎺🥁🎶
They're called the Bayou Bunnies and they're accepting applications for a drummer. 😆

NEWS! NEWS! NEWS! Houston Rabbit Resource! 🐰🐰
We have lots of rabbit news. First off, we received our official 501c3 nonprofit approval from the IRS! All donations to Houston Rabbit Resource are tax deductible, retroactive to April 7th when we applied. Hooray!
And speaking of donations, we could really use some help! We've taken in over 30 rabbits the last few months. Some injured and sick, like Frankie and Jack, who we posted about recently. We have amazingly generous veterinarians but we still have bills piling up and more bunnies coming in all the time.

Hurricane Ida has also hurt a lot of bunnies and we are trying to help. Ida blew the roof off of BunnAgain Rabbit Rescue And Education and they need to find immediate homes for their bunnies. Also, Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue in Baton Rouge also has had to take in a lot of bunnies due to Ida and is requesting some help. Houston Rabbit Resource is partnering with Texas Litter Control and Jodie's Canine Cruiser Pet Transports to bring about 30 rabbits to Houston and Texas. We have reached out to other rabbit rescues who may be helping as well and we will bring you more details as soon as we know. We are going to need a lot of supplies like hay and pellets, and gas for the transport, and more.
Our current vet bills are a little over $1000 and we've needed to purchase supplies and will be buying more for the Hurricane Ida bunnies. We need to raise at least $2000. Please click on the donate button below to help us help these and more rabbits! Thank you so much to all our supporters and bunny lovers!

Recently rescued on a 100 degree day hiding under a car - Little Rolo went to his foster today! I think he is in for some fun! Fingers crossed for foster failure 🐇
Rolo is a part of the Houston Rabbit Resource network. Please check them out if you can foster or adopt!
Could you please vote for Ms. Daisy. 🙏🏼 If she wins a prize bundle from SmallPetSelect, I’ll be donating it back to the Houston Rabbit Resource (HRR). This would help the organization to help other bunnies in need. It only takes it’s a like (heart) from y’all. Thanks!
RHDV2 Awareness
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV2) is a highly contagious and fatal disease affecting both domestic and wild rabbits. It is currently spreading through...
Marie has been busy evaluating her college options for next term. 👩🎓
Soon my foster babies will leave me and I’ll be heart broken, but knowing there’s a potential wonderful family for my furry crew that would love them as much I do... brings me tears to my eyes and joy in my heart. Thank you Bunny Buddies for all your help. I couldn’t have done it without you guys. Oreo, Mr. Spots and my wonderful, awesome, sassy Marie🐰❤️🐰❤️🐰
Happy Daughters Day! Charlotte and Bunnicula 💞
Name needed!
So when I (kelly) adopted Frida and Bunnicula we thought they were a boy and girl. However Frida isn't the girl and Bunnicula isn't the boy! Whoops! 😆 Now that they are a bit older and spayed/neutered their personalities are showing. Frida is huge and a bit of a bully and Bunnicula is petite and sweet 🤦♀️
So ... a name change is in order for Frida! No reason a vampire bun can't be a girl so Bunnicula stays plus she can drain a carrot faster than the entire bunpile. 🦇
Frida has got to go. Doesn't fit my little fat boss bun. What is a good name for my little chunk? 🤔
When your date falls asleep and you finish her dessert 😆 Spots is my kinda guy!
Spots and Marie are both available for adoption through Bunny Buddies! Let us know if you would like an application or go to bunnybuddies.org to get started! 🐇🐇

October is coming next week! Are you ready for Valentine's horror fest?
We will have new bunny horror movies and maybe some bunny scary video games. ;)
Valentine the Bunny has some serious photoshopping skills! 💞
We bite in the dark to serve the treats! 🗡🐰
The Secret Life of Marie 💞👑🐇
Feeling cute. Might chew up some toys later idk..
This is Reagan meeting Oreo for the first time outside. This was the first Dutch rabbit we encountered in the now infamous Katy, TX round-up. Clearly not wild and clearly very friendly. He’s now been adopted and fixed along with his baby momma Melanie. Their many offspring she delivered in the wild have also found loving, safe, INDOOR homes!
Marie and her sidekick checking for monsters under the bed. They don't stand a chance with Marie on duty. 🦸♀️
Baby bunny feet! 🐾 🐇
Sweet Melanie such a good mom to the little wigglies 💞

We want to introduce you to our spokesbun Marie. Marie is one of the wee babies rescued after being dumped by a breeder in Katy. Somehow as a baby she injured her back leg before she was rescued. Her foster mom started rehab but it was decided the bad leg was just weighing her down. She is now a three-legged sprinter and has excelled at the indoor staircase - setting multiple staircase descent records in just a short time back to the grind. 😉 Marie has successfully overcome so many obstacles and never once dropped her diva crown. 👑 Marie is available for adoption through Bunny Buddies. Let us know if you would like an application! 🐇
