Hope and Love Rescue We rescue chihuahuas and other small breed dogs. We have rescued and fostered dogs for over 20 years through other rescues and now are opening our own.

We also serve as a sanctuary to senior dogs with a lot of limitations.

Not up for adoption.
Y’all say hello to Ruby! The newest love bug at Hope and Love Rescue. She has already been to see our friends at Eastside Animal Hospital & Pet Resort this afternoon and has her cone of shame to protect her stitches where she was spayed yesterday before she came to us today and good drugs to help her relax and be pain free. She’s met the other babies and so far everyone is appropriately kind but apprehensive. 🧡 She goes back next week to get her stitches out and the end of the month for shots. A healthy 27lbs on the dot at about 9 months old.

As always Eastside came in clutch and got her in today at the last minute! 🧡

Cookie met Dr. Moyers and the Eastside Animal Hospital staff today! Other than a few fleas and a little tartar build up, she’s in great health at 6 1/2 pounds. She’s a sweet delight and everyone is getting settled in.

Update on Raylan Givens! We went this afternoon to get his bloodwork done (he’ll be getting it drawn weekly). His platelets are coming up, thankfully! He is no longer anemic. We’ll check again the Monday after Thanksgiving and if it is still improving then we’ll start the first step-down adjustment of his steroids. I’m very grateful! 🧡 He’s exhausted from the fit he threw at as they did his bloodwork… my little drama king! 🧡

Thank you all for your prayers and love for Sadie Belle! Surgery went well, they had to take part of her torn meniscus as well but it was a success. She is doing well in the crate at night for the most part but she is super clingy and whiny during the day. She’s either asleep or being loved on at all times or she whines. We are 5 days post-op. We are praying everything continues to go well.
