Play sometimes takes awhile to develop but it's always worth it. Helping a dog figure out how to fully be themselves, showing them where their needs are met, and developing the strength of our relationship all happens in play. It not only makes training more fun and builds more confidence in the pup, but it also accomplishes things training systems lacking play cannot achieve. Just because a dog won't play on the first day doesn't mean they are a treat dog or affection dog, it means you just haven't put enough effort into it yet.
