Even though there was an open gate, this guy tried to step over/through the fence of the empty quarantine pen and got himself stuck and broke the fence in the process 😂 he’s free now and thankfully didn’t hurt himself!

📢📢📢FUNDRAISING ALERT📢📢📢

It’s been a bit since we’ve done a fundraiser, but this cute little menace has repeatedly broken through our current fencing and is terrorizing the neighbor’s property. We desperately need to update the fencing around the back pasture to keep her and her moo brothers safe and secure (and good fences make good neighbors).

If you want to help keep this girl safe, please donate to our fencing fund:

Our birds are all being silly this week 😂 James and his brothers took a stroll in the rain today and ended up down our driveway—quite the distance from their pasture! Apparently the rain was better enjoyed from the new vantage point 🤪

Ginny decided to stretch her beautiful wings in the shade today and she seemed so peaceful and at ease—made my heart happy to know she feels safe enough to just relax wherever she feels like it🥰

A lot of people don’t realize that cows can be susceptible to heat stroke, but poor Sully man has a really hard time in the heat every year so each spring he gets a spa day where he gets a hair cut and loses about 10 pounds of hair! This is just phase one, because he stood so patiently while I took scissors and trimmed as much of the bulk away as I could. Later this weekend we’ll finish him up with clippers and make it even and handsome, but I know he already feels so much better in our warming temps! Plus, Justin gave him a pedicure so his hooves are trimmed and nice again too. Sully is such a good and docile boy ❤️

We don’t post many personal things on here because we want the focus to be on our farm babies, but I wanted to write a quick description what life has been like lately so everyone knows why we don’t post a lot right now. This is our middle daughter, Noelle. She was born with Dravet Syndrome, a catastrophic seizure disorder, and the past few months have seen a lot of decline in her condition and daily function. After a recent hospital stay, Noelle is now dependent on a wheelchair for support and mobility, and she is struggling to do basic tasks like talking and eating. We are in the process of getting her set up with a lot of therapies, changing medications, and just adjusting to our current normal in our household. Meanwhile, we are still making sure all of our farm babies are getting the care they need, we just haven’t had extra time for social media posts and pictures. But rest assured, all human and animal family members are always loved and cared for ❤️

Sorry it’s been a while since we’ve posted, but we’ve had the flu running rampant through our house and then we were out of town for a bit, but don’t worry all our babies have been well cared for even during the chaos! It’s fresh hay day, and Sully Man decided he’d help by guarding the hay ring 😂
