It's reassuring to know we're not alone in this entrepreneurial journey. Starting a business is tough, but the reward is definitely worth it.

I connected with another small business owner today and learned a lot about their journey. It was inspiring to hear how they overcame challenges and built their business from the ground up. ♥️♥️♥️

Late night run to Menards for trim ended up with another productive evening! Watching our building transform is so rewarding. Every day brings new progress, and I can't help but capture it all on camera. It's amazing to look back and see how far we've come.

What a journey it's been! I can't say enough about Andy, my best friend and biggest supporter. His dedication to turning this dream into a reality is inspiring. From the insulation and metal walls to flooring, painting, and now the gravel, he's done it all. His hard work has saved us a fortune and brought us closer to opening our doors. I'm beyond grateful for his support.

Meet The Heavenly Hound Pet Cremation, located in Liberty, Indiana. I'm Susan, the owner, and alongside me is my best friend, partner, and biggest supporter, Andy. Inspired by our five beloved hound dogs – Hazel, Daizy, Bee, Ernie, and Jethro – we started The Heavenly Hound. Imagining a world without them motivated us to offer compassionate services for pet parents facing loss.

We understand the bond between people and their pets. As passionate animal lovers, we're committed to treating every pet with the care and respect they deserve.

We're beyond excited to announce that our cremation equipment has a confirmed delivery date! This marks a significant milestone in our journey to open The Heavenly Hound. Once the equipment arrives, we'll diligently work through the installation and training process. It's hard to believe that one year ago, this adventure was just beginning.

As my 30th birthday approaches on September 17th, I can’t help but feel a sense of overwhelming gratitude. This journey has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. To be on the edge of fulfilling our dream of serving the community and providing comfort to pet parents is truly special. We couldn't have come this far without the incredible support of our friends, family, and the community.

With his family, we created a beautiful clay and ink pawprint keepsake to symbolize the unbreakable bond between pets and their humans.

The Heavenly Hound is coming together! We're excited to share a sneak peek of our new dark hardwood floors. It's starting to feel more like a business than ever before! Ernie's thrilled to announce that the electrical work will be completed soon, including new lighting, outlets, and switches.

We can't wait to move out of the house and into our dedicated space. It's an exciting but nerve-wracking time as we prepare to open our doors. Your support means the world to us. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we embark on this new adventure.

A simple quote with such a powerful meaning. While The Heavenly Hound can't yet offer cremation services, today's interactions highlight the pawsitive connections we've been building. I was contacted twice today about different situations, and while unable to fully help, these interactions drive our passion.

While buying this sign from the Dollar General earlier this evening, I had a chance encounter with someone who has been following our journey on Facebook. This connection made my whole day and reminds us of The Heavenly Hound's purpose. People and their pets are the heart of our business. 🐾

Today, I'm leaving behind positivity, the power of human connection, and a commitment to kindness. ♥️

Three years ago, a dream was born. What began as a vision for The Heavenly Hound has turned into a reality. We were officially established as an LLC one year ago!! 🎉 Building this business from the ground up while balancing a full-time job has been a demanding journey filled with both challenges and milestones.

Through countless hours of research, endless paperwork, and unwavering determination, I’ve worked tirelessly to create a space where pet parents can find comfort during difficult times. I'm incredibly grateful for the love and support that has carried me through this process.

Pet Spotlight: 🐝 BEE 🐝

Having a pet can be a rollercoaster of emotions. It's a commitment that requires patience, love, and even more patience. 😉 Bee, one of my rescue hounds, is a perfect example. I found her as a stray in awful condition in 2020, and she sure has come a long way. But she really beats to the sound of her own drum.

Her days consist of cuddles and chaos. One moment she's a loyal companion, the next, she's plotting her escape. It's exhausting, but the unconditional love she provides makes every moment worth it. Bee is a testament to resilience, both hers and mine. She's taught me that even when faced with countless obstacles, persistence pays off. And that sometimes, the greatest rewards come from the most unexpected things – furry, four-legged ones.

To know her, is to love her 🐾
