Quick Fritter Update!
🙏A very big THANK YOU to our NNR village for making this possible so quickly!
🥳Fritter’s surgery was a success!
She is eating & drinking normally. The ECG yesterday morning showed zero flow around the device plugging her PDA defect, and the right side of her heart is already a bit smaller. The SAS is there but currently very mild.
Fritter is in a cone for 10-14 days and she is resting comfortably on medications. Her foster parents need to monitor her inner thigh incision closely but the stitches are all internal so there’s nothing to remove. They have the tough job of keeping this little pup under strict activity restriction for 4 weeks. Recheck ECG in 1-3 months to make sure the device has not shifted as she grows.
This is a major milestone and we will continue to update you all on her healing as we await her recheck.
YOU made this possible with your comments of support, shares and donations. Our hearts are filled with gratitude to our village!
Thank you to the amazing team at Purdue College of Medicine for their careful, loving and capable care of our girl https://www.facebook.com/share/178qexrZhC/?mibextid=wwXIfr
And of course an extra special thank you to Fritter’s foster family, without whom, none of this would be possible!
