BEAN PUPDATE ❤️🐾
This was the grey female dog that was with JELLY this afternoon at the clinic about to be euthanized.
It looks like she is settling into her foster home nicely- and look at that wiggle butt! The tail will get you every time 😂
Thank you so much Emily ❤️
At 2:00 this afternoon this little black dog was curled up shaking in the back of an animal control vehicle waiting in line to be euthanized... she knew.
The folks at animal control can’t help it. They’re full. It’s their job. It’s not their fault.
I (Taylor) just happened to see them pull in to the vet clinic while I was on my way home… I knew what was going on. I call Jerry in tears and pull in behind them. I know we are full and can’t take any more animals on- but we had to help. Jerry and Gabbi come to the rescue. We take pictures of her and the other grey female I posted earlier- and make an urgent post asking for fosters. Two wonderful humans stepped up to take them on- and we even got a sponsor for their heartworm testing. We named them JELLY and BEAN.
4 hours later, here is JELLY in her foster home. THIS is what we can do with fosters and donations. This is why we do what we do everyday.
Thank you so much to everybody involved.
Thank you Ashley & Chris, Till Newell, Jerry & Gabbi, Sara & Emily for fostering, and CHELSEA for the sponsor ❤️🐾
I think Shawny and Esme just became best friends ❤️🐾 #rescuesaveslives #freedomride #roadsiderescuenetwork
BUTTER
Looking for a soulmate? If a 3 mile walk is your thing, Butter is all in, and when he is done he will let you know he is ready for some snuggle time by jumping on the couch.
Butter is a big boy who can sometimes forget just how big he is, so a home with adults or older kids might be best.
If snuggling, long walks and a little patience are your thing, he may be your perfect match.
Butter is available for ADOPTION at the Meridian City Animal Shelter. RRN is thankful for the wonderful partnership we share with MPD Animal Control. Saving lives together. 🐾

How to Foster a Dog
HOW TO FOSTER WITH RRN
Without foster families, rescues would only be able to take in as many dogs as they can fit into their facility. Having a large foster network allows them to take in as many dogs as they have fosters! More fosters = more dogs saved.
Being in a home setting allows them to get used to everyday sights and sounds, and also gives them a head start on training. Sadly, there's a good chance your foster dog has never had a loving home. You have the power to transform a nervous, shy dog into a confident, loving companion just by showing them what it means to be loved!

HERO APPRECIATION POST - JERRY MANOR
Jerry is the fearless leader of Roadside Rescue Network. He is often unseen as he is picking up dogs and cats, working behind the scenes at shelters, or negotiating relationships with our northern partners.
But we see him. And appreciate him.
Jerry is a native of Yazoo City, but now makes his home in Meridian. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After working at an animal boarding facility, Jerry made relationships with multiple rescue centers which spurred the development of RRN.
Roadside Rescue Network is his passion and legacy to our community. We couldn’t do it without him.
Thank you, Jerry - from the hundreds of lives you have saved through the years, and from your partners at RRN.

Foster family needed for large dog friendly boy named “Pickles”. He was picked up as a stray over the weekend. He’ll need a fenced yard, he is not house trained. I am overextended with the number of fosters I have. All supplies and vetting are provided.
5161 Dale Dr. Mary ann Mississippi. Garage still happening now. Come on by.
Congratulations to Pam Garrett on winning the Mother’s Day basket on May 1st! Roadside Rescue Network would like everyone who supported us by buying tickets! Every dollar went back into the rescue to help the animals of Lauderdale county and surrounding areas.
