Well said, Corinth-Alcorn Animal Shelter! We are very thankful to have a supportive community to keep helping dogs that are in tough situations. We are also extremely thankful for volunteers who pitch in, the loyal staff who step up when needed, the veterinarians who partner with us, and our board members. It's a 24/7 gig and it takes everyone to keep the wheel turning.

Meet Darren! This sweet beagle mix (best guess, but still a guess) has been in a shelter in Mississippi for over a year. We have no idea how he still has such a loveable personality, but he does! He is truly hanging in there waiting for someone to show him the good life. He is about 5-6 years old, 40 plus pounds (he's a little chunky but surprisingly a picky eater), he is cool with cats and does well in a crate. He does get along with other dogs, he's from a hoarding case but oddly doesn't care if he has a dog friend or not. He also prefers his dog friends on the calm side. He is truly a good boy and so deserving of a home where he's safe and loved. Where he can settle down and not have to keep teaching himself to adjust to all the uncertainty life has brought him so far. If you're interested in meeting Darren, please submit an application. You can also stop by and meet him at our Open House hours which are Friday 4-7pm and Saturday 11-3pm at 114 Londonderry Turnpike in Hooksett. Please give him a share if you already have a full house!

New bios on the pups with likes and dislikes to help them find better matches. It's getting chilly out so the time in now to stock up on winter snuggle buddies!
Open House today 4-7pm and Saturday 11-3pm. Appointments make 7 days a weeks! Applications must be submitted and approved to adopt but you can visit without one.

Some of you may remember Toby, the senior we pulled earlier this summer. We brought him to the vet for some bloodwork because he was excessively drinking water and losing weight. The tests came back that Toby has thyroid cancer. Toby landed himself a super amazing foster home. A home where he gets the goods, like an abundance of love, snuggles, sticks, long walks, and toys! While Toby isn't cured, he is thriving and living his best life thanks to his foster family.

We have lots of fun activities going on this weekend!

Apothecary Tattoo is hosting a fundraiser flash tattoo event for us tomorrow from 12-6!

Woofmeow Will have adoptable puppies, raffles, and other fun activities for you and your dog from 10-2!

Chico is 2 years old, and Beast is 3. Both boys are neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and great with other dogs, kids, and even cats.

We want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone that sent us supplies through Amazon Prime Day! You guys rock!!!
Also, a HUGE shout out to Wholistic Pet for their donation check from Fall Fest! We love our independent store owners who help local rescues. Shop small businesses who support your communities. It's important!
Lastly thank you to everyone who donated on Friday so we can start wrapping up the loose ends at the new space. This has been a gigantic undertaking to rescue more dogs in a more comfortable space. We appreciate all the support we have gotten!

Moving day is complete! If you are coming for Open House today and tomorrow please go to the new space which is one unit over from the last space. We are still working on the flow and decorating but the dogs are in and loving the extra space to move around in while they wait for their new homes. We still have a few more things that we're looking for help with! We could use monetary donations to hire people to do things like change locks, some electrical work, help set up cameras, help set up our last kennel run OR if you've got the skills and can donate your time that would be just as amazing. This has been a difficult journey with lots of hurdles but we're pretty excited about the outcome.
Also, if you're interested in volunteering, we're ready for you! We will provide links in the comments below. As always thank you for helping us help the dogs! We appreciate it.

Peach’s puppies to brighten up this rainy Thursday. They’ve started opening their eyes and finding their voices! 🐾

Corky got adopted in a sweet ride this week! Congratulations buddy!

Miss Chief would love to spend this beautiful weather learning to walk on a leash and exploring hikes with a new forever friend. She is about 35 pounds with a little growing to do so she’s the perfect take along size! She’s 9 months old, crate trained and gets along with other dogs. We have no idea if she thinks cats are friends or foes. If you would like to meet Miss Chief please fill out an application. We also have Open House hours Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week.

Sweet DiCaprio is available for adoption. He’s a 4-5 month old adorable hound dog mix. He’s friendly and plays well with other dogs. Applications available on our website.

Parton took a snooze through Open House and forgot she was supposed to be trying to find her forever human. We’re still taking applications for this cutie pie, how is that possible?

Ethel waited a whole year in a shelter in Mississippi waiting to be adopted. A home never came but rescue did! Ethel is such a joy to have around and super chill! She has a sponsored adoption fee and is up to date on all her vet care! If you’re interested in meeting Ethel please submit an application through our website.
