I love my job. Do I think it’s the best job ever? Yes! Is it hard? Oh yeah. Is it rewarding? You better believe it! Thats why I have been grooming cats and dogs professionally for 10+ years. I have been a life long animal lover. By the time I was ten years old I had a dog, a cat,

a bird, lizzards, tad poles/frogs, and a rabbit. And from the time I was 2 years old I spent every waking moment harassing my parents to get me a horse. At 17 I made that dream come true and brought my horse with me to college, where I majored in Equestrian Studies. After graduation I began my career in barn management. I worked for 16 years within the horse industry in the North East before relocating to the South. There I began a Pet/Farm sitting business, enjoying several years of caring for horses, cats and dogs at their farms while their families were away. This is when I realized that caring for pets truly is best when they are home and happy! When my husband and I relocated to Atlanta I began my professional grooming career. Now, every day, not only am I greeted by wagging tails when I go to work, but I have to come home and explain to my dog why I smell like I’ve been playing at a dog park all day without him. I love my job. I love the creativity in making my client's pets adorable and comfortable. I love being a partner in their health and wellbeing. Mostly I love building long, lasting relationships with my Furry Godpets and their families.

Hello Furry Godmother family.
You may have heard there is a new K9 illness affecting dogs around the country.

At this time it appears to be a respiratory virus and has been affecting dogs on both coasts.

There have been cases reported in Georgia but they are at this time, unconfirmed.
The confirmed cases currently are on the west coast and the Northeast.

I am attaching one of many links with reports on this new virus.

The most important things to keep in mind are the early symptoms and the best ways to keep your pets safe.

This virus is mimicking kennel cough.
Coughing, lethargy, fever and loss of appetite are the most common symptoms being reported by veterinarians.

It is a good idea to avoid dog parks and when walking your dog try not to allow it to make contact with other dogs in your neighborhood.

I will be keeping in touch with my veterinarian for any updates or important information concerning the virus and I am paying close attention to national news on the subject.

If anything new comes to light I will post an update.
