We are just 3 days away from offering out adoption applications on these babies. There will be another post Friday with the info but here’s the latest sneak peak at all the puppies! They will be ready in just another few short weeks for their furever homes! Make sure you like and follow our page so you don’t miss our Friday post!
This evening the babies got to try out what I like to call puppy “mush” or “gruel” as it’s properly called but whatever… it was a HUGE hit amongst the littles. Please excuse their messy pen with shredded puppy pads and 🩸 from mommy who is still healing from her delivery. I promise they get new bedding twice daily 🤣 I also promise every puppy got to have some, I just had to cut the vid short so that I could spread them all out. We actually have 2 bowls that’ll be placed tomorrow but this evening was just their 1st time trial run. Adoption application will start to be accepted in 2 weeks but they will not be ready for their furever homes until they’re 8 weeks. Vaccinations will also be given at appropriate times.
We are growing!! The pups can now escape their whelping pen and also enjoy small bursts of playtime 🐾 wrangling 9 puppies is not going to be an easy task 😵💫
Eve and her pups are doing well so far! We have our 1st wellness check vet exam next week. Due to unknown vaccination history of mom I have to treat them all as unvaccinated thus limiting contact with people and I held off on the vet exam until now since there were no real causes for concern there was no sense in risking them picking up a deadly virus from the vet, so we waited until a productive visit was needed. They will get started on their dewormer regimen. All puppies now have their eyes open, they’re learning how to walk, and they have also discovered they can bark and growl! They get weighed daily here and are all gaining the proper weight with our largest pup weighing in at 3.5 lbs 😳 and our little runt girl weighing in at 1.8 (she was 1.1 when I got her) and the rest all weighing in the 2.3-3.0 lb range
Update on Wooliam: He is 13 days old today. His breathing is still very labored and heart rate still very high. I would say he’s not much better but not much worse really despite still being on antibiotics (his last injection will be today). It is literally an every hour thing to where I’m convinced he is giving up and not going to make it anymore then 💥 he is as energetic as ever as seen in the video! It’s a mystery to me but I’ll just continue to give him my all and see where we land.
