Yesterday was a big day for our newest residentsour sweet donkeys! 🫏💛 They had their very first hoof trim at Berkshire Farm Sanctuary, and they were absolute stars.

Our amazing farrier took such gentle care with them, and volunteer Roberto jumped right in to lend a helping hand. Watching the donkeys stand calmly, trusting us more and more, was such a beautiful reminder of how far they’ve come in such a short time.

They’re finally settling in, feeling safe, and learning that this is their forever home filled with kindness, patience, and love.

All our candles are hand poured in small batches by yours truly!

Cinnamon Stick: True to the smell of whole cinnamon sticks, this strong woody scent adds to your home this holiday season. Cinnamon leaf and toasted nutmeg start off this warm and comforting scent. Then fresh ground cinnamon and a hint of crushed clove in the main body are smoothed out by touches of vanilla, tonka, and cinnamon bark in the base.

Fraser Fir: The rich base of fir, amber, and moss evokes fond memories of decorating a freshly-cut Christmas tree. Fraser Fir candle is perfect for setting a festive holiday mood or creating a cozy ambience for a quiet winter evening by the fire.

Merry Christmas Farm: A classic holiday scent that tells the story of a cozy holiday night spent sipping wine in front of the fireplace on a cozy night at the Sanctuary! This candle combines orange spice notes from the kitchen, fir and pine notes from the Christmas tree, and an earthy smokiness from the fireplace. It's Christmas Eve, in a bottle, any time. This fragrance is infused with natural essential oils, including orange, cinnamon, clove, vetiver, and pine.

Nordic NIght: Visions of snow-covered pines and arctic winds filled our minds when we created Nordic Night candle. An outdoor, wintery scent, Nordic Night jars a winter’s night chill with top notes of eucalyptus and lavender. Resinous pine is at the heart of this scent, and it rests on an herbal, woody base of rosemary, cedar, and oakmoss. This candle is infused with natural essential oils including pine, cypress, eucalyptus, cedarwood, cinnamon bark, cardamom, lavandin, rosemary, cade, cistus extract, guaicwood, and clove bud.

Ginger and Spice: Reminiscing about the holiday season conjures feelings of warmth, family, and of course, a craving for sweet treats. 💛🐾 Welcoming new volunteers to Berkshire Farm Sanctuary is so great! 🐾💛

We’re so excited to welcome Courtney to our growing family of volunteers here at Berkshire Farm Sanctuary!

Courtney jumped right in with compassion, enthusiasm, and an instant love for our animals. It’s always amazing to see people open their hearts and their time to help care for our pigs, goats, sheep, donkeys, and all the sweet souls who call the sanctuary home.

Volunteers like Courtney make everything we do possible, and we’re so grateful she chose to spend her time making a difference with us.

🐑❄️ A Big Step Forward for Our Sheep! ❄️🐑

We’re so excited to share that we’ve officially insulated and completed the ceiling and walls in the new sheep barn — just in time for the cold weather! Our sweet sheep are now safely moved in and settling into their cozy new space. 💛
But we’re not done yet!
To fully finish the barn and keep our animals warm, comfortable, and safe through winter, we still need to complete:
🔌 Electrical work
🚰 Water lines & plumbing
These final pieces are essential for providing heat, lighting, and a reliable water source for our flock. It cost WAY more than we had expected.

🍂 A Perfect Autumn Day at the Sanctuary 🍂

Today was one of those days that fills our hearts I spent the afternoon surrounded by our sweet rescued farm animals, soaking in the crisp autumn air and the golden leaves falling around us. 🍁

Love spending time with our newest arrivals — Hazel, Bowie, and Ellie, our adorable little donkeys who are already settling in so beautifully at Berkshire Farm Sanctuary. Their gentle eyes and curious personalities remind me why we do what we do every single day. 💕

There’s something truly peaceful about being among animals who finally know they’re safe, loved, and home. 🐾💛
