NEW YORKERS! 📲PLEASE MAKE ONE QUICK CALL to NY Governor Kathy Hochul ASAP at 518.474.8390 and ask her to "permanently shut down the 80 live animal slaughter markets in New York City that are hazardous to public health," and be sure to tell her you live in New York, if you are resident.

Tell the Governor that the slaughter markets are proven to be breeding grounds for the spread of infectious diseases including avian flu, and they can no longer safely operate in densely populated residential areas. Shut them down f
or good to protect public health and end horrific abuse!

Our rescued ferrets Sprout (white deaf girl) and Bean (sable) were left in a box next to a dumpster in the bitter cold. Thankfully someone heard scratching on the box when they went to put trash in the dumpster! They are thriving with us as is our newest girl Spice. Spice is a champagne sable ferret that was left in a disgusting hoarding house. The woman died in the house. That’s the only way we found out that so many animals were suffering. On the way out the door with dozens of birds, cats, and bunnies again there was scratching coming from the corner of the kitchen! Under the mountains of garbage was a dehydrated ferret in a filthy carrier. She would have died for sure if we didn’t rescue her that night! All’s well for all the animals and Spice is living the good life with us now!
