🐷WELCOME NORTON! 🎉Today we celebrate 5 years since we purchased the property that is now Berkshire Farm Sanctuary. It has become a safe haven for desperate farm and domestic animals. We have worked so hard and we thank each and everyone who has supported our mission. And what better way to celebrate than to get a new pig?🐷 Norton was rescued months ago from a religious sacrifice off the Belt Parkway in NY. Today he arrived at his forever home to live a wonderful life! Please consider donating to our cause. We are truly hand to mouth, and hoof to mouth!

Painting the outside of the new sheep barn when you’re only 5’ tall! I get on the tall ladder tomorrow🫣 Of course It’s gotta match the rest! New England red. The animals and I had beautiful weather today! Although the goats didn’t want to come outside! Silly goats! Tomorrow the trailer gets hitched up to pick up our new piggy!🐷 Can’t wait!

POT-BELLIED PIG LOVERS! THESE TWO NEED A NEW HOME!
Two potbellied pigs, both male and from the same litter, have been neutered already and are 5 years old! Their names are Jimmy (white patch on head) and Oscar! They were in doors for 4 years and the last year have been outside and they both handled that move and change very well! Absolutely do not want them used for food and would love to see them stay together! If you are interested in adopting these two gorgeous boys email Brittany at: [email protected]

In supermarkets we are beguiled by the atmosphere - the aisles of artfully presented jars, tins and packets, the smell of roasting chicken and baking bread, the bright welcoming lights.
Yet we are kept in the dark about about the true origin of the food we eat.
The terrible deception conceals the fact that the overwhelming majority of animals used for our food are living out their brief lives frightened, diseased, crippled, shut up in sheds in their thousands. Their entire short lives are spent in abject misery, as far removed from a natural existence as can possibly be imagined.
