Happy Valentine’s Day from Haven Farms! 🩷

In celebration of today, we will be telling you the story of Ms. Mirabel and her seeing eye companion, Josie. If you’ve spent any significant amount of time on the farm then you will immediately recognize this pair, as they are never far apart.

Ms. Mirabel was given to Haven Farms in hopes that we could give her the opportunity to live out the rest of her days in peace here with us. This hope came with its own challenges as Mirabel is blind and a new farm can be incredibly daunting. But, after a few days Mirabel began to follow along with a very uncertain Josie. Josie was not initially a willing participant in her role alongside Mirabel’s clumsy attempts to stay close.

However, with time, patience and a little bell the pair began to fall into step with one another. Before long, they never were apart. This heartwarming story of friendship and companionship is a reminder that love can take many forms- even as a pair of sheep on a farm.
