Buster took me in for my very first Futurity in 1986 and showed me what it takes to make the finals. I will be forever grateful for the knowledge he passed on to me. I have passed that on to my kids and I know they will continue to pass it on to theirs. He has shaped generations of horsemen and will continue to shape the generations to come. He was my hero inside and out of the show pen. A true horseman and legend that will live on forever in our hearts. Our sincerest condolences to all of Buster’s family and friends.

Ascencion has been showing cutting horses for 34 years and his heart has always been in the aged events but this year for the first time ever in his career he decided to haul Pedel to the Metall in the Open and this duo hit the weekend shows running. Thank you to and Faith Mountain Ranch for this opportunity. The first round of the world finals are tonight and this team is currently sitting in first place in the world. Good luck to all of the finalists showing tonight!

Ascension Bañuelos has one of the biggest come-up stories ever. The North Texas cowboy, against all odds, became the first Mexican American to be inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association Hall of Fame.

Wow! Last night is definitely a night to remember. Could not be more proud!

Adan Banuelos Performance Horses and "Lil Engine" aka: Catillac Reys Metallic Cat x Tootsie Rey) bred by Cannon Quarter Horses and owned by Ten 27 Ranch were BIG winners last night after their 225 point run in the 5/6YO Open Finals. They were the Reserve Champions in the finals earning $17,568 & also won the Metallic Cat Incentive Bonus $40K, TQHA Bonus $25K and Gelding Champs $3,791 for a grand total of $86,359. This little 13 hand Gelding has proven he has the heart the size of Texas with Lifetime earnings approaching $400K including all the Incentives and Bonus money he's won along the way! Adan had a huge night also with 3 horses in the finals. He was 2nd, 3rd & 5th in the Finals ($45,370) and won all 3 TQH Incentive bonus placings ($50K) along with the Metallic Cat Incentive Bonus ($40K) and Gelding Money ($6,758) he walked out of the arena with right at $142,128 in total earnings last night!!!
