Fun Fact Friday!
The australian cattle dog breed was first started in 1840! A man by the name of Gorge Elliot began by taming wild dingoes and breeding them to blue merle collies. The dingo was added because of the harsh outback and already established herding breeds couldn’t handle the environment. Later more breeds were added to give us the heelers that we know and love today.
That’s why we always joke and call them our pack of dingoes!
